Hi CypressMom, I'm a Cypress Mom also with a child in the middle school there. So scary and I wish we had more information. Interesting though, that all the girls are talking about and the perils of walking alone in the night. For that, I am thankful!

Hi Thorpedo. Has your child moved on to High School in the Cypress area? Has s/he heard anymore about this? If this guy was a HS Senior and went away to college, there is a good chance he could be moving back into the area in the summer. Scary to think, but remind your child to be careful again, as it might not be fresh in his/her mind.

Suspect is active duty Army.
Presser today at 2:30 pm.

Stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.
Joined the army several years AFTER this crime.
Is under suspicion for a recent sexual assault in NC.

Suspect side by side with the sketch. There clearly is a strong resemblance of suspect to the sketch. So I would say it certainly appears there was no giant conspiracy to protect the innocent football player. I don't think suspect was still school at the time of the attack, as he would have been 19. Apparently he lived in the area at that time.

Where did this case go? Last news update I could find was from January, and it still hadn't gone to trial... It's like it's disappeared.

So sorry for the delay in response. My daughter will be a senior this coming school year. Not much news at all since a suspect was charged. Still have to remind every day about safety!
