rsbm<<<
I didn't realize how much and how quickly I could love a family I'd never met. How many tears I could cry for a young man who is not my child. I'm the little tough lady who claims to "not like people". HAHA...my arse!
>>>rsbm

Hi Labor... from another (currently displaced) Texan tough old broad...
I hear ya, and appreciate your concern, sleuthing, and posts.
Just wanted to send out a sisterly cyber hug.

Prayers for Rick and his family.

I sat here last night and tried to make a timeline based on MSM articles, but got confused. Several events varied by a day or two. I believe Rick left Colorado on the 26th and was seen at Burger King here that same night, but some places said BK was the next day? Longmont to El Paso is quite a drive, 10 hours +, and from my understand there were a couple of stops/sightings not reported by the media. One of the reasons this case grabbed me is because my husband made nearly the same drive, from Broomfield Colorado, on the 27th. We have family in that area. Some articles said he was reported missing the 26th and others the 28th. Without knowing any new info recently, my mind was getting snagged up in little details and they probably aren't even important.

Another thing that grabbed me from the beginning was this:

“Family members are concerned for Rick’s safety since he has not had his medications for what is believed to be at least 56 hours,” police stated.

or:

Police say that he has a medical condition that requires medication, which he has now gone without for nearly three days.

I simply did not know that a mental illness like Rick's could rear it's ugly head so quickly after stopping medication. Then again, I think this is just a guesstimate and was reported to bring attention to the urgency of Rick's case. It really doesn't matter, it just caught my attention which is exactly what it was supposed to do.

Just following along and hoping for something new to pop up in the media right now. Please come home honey, where are you?? :scared::please:

A question.........since Rick is an adult. If they find him and he says he doesn't want to go, can he be forced to return since he has a mental condition? Or can he just stay on the streets if he so desires? Just wondering. I so hope he is found and returns with his parents to get some needed help.

Best news imaginable! I flew off the couch in tears when I heard, what a relief. Just wow.

If the ladies who have been so involved with the Rue's ever find this thread, I want to say again that you are truly angels on Earth. Your dedication and compassion has been awe-inspiring. Bless you.

Much love to the Rue's tonight. Rick, stay safe young man. You are so loved. :loveyou:

After his parents left and the he had been missing...I was prepared for a sad ending. I am so happy for Rick and his family!
P.s. I have sons this age and I can't imagine if one went missing for this amount of time.

Good grief.

Take your pick:

A search for a missing Colorado man that spanned almost two weeks ended Wednesday when the 26-year-old was found safe in Juárez, officials said

http://www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/2017/06/08/missing-colorado-man-found-juarez/381513001/

Rue's mother tells us Rick called his sister from a local store in El Paso. A volunteer went to the store and took Rue to the hospital.

OK. I'll admit I'm being nit-picky, but when I read conflicting things like this I wonder just how often the media gets it wrong. #2 is correct. He had been in Juarez but was found in El Paso, from my understanding. Either way, one article is inaccurate.

The comments on the FB pages *might* be somewhat humorous, except for the fact that this was just terrifying for the Rue's and possibly Rick himself. Gah!

I'm so happy this nightmare is over for them and their boy is safe now. Godspeed. :heartbeat:
