I found in the Austin American newspaper (13 Aug 1967) an article in which Robert Lynn Fisher was groomsman for his brother's wedding.

I then found a Robert (or Bob) Fisher in the Burges High School yearbooks for 1965-1968. His siblings (brother and sister) whom were named in the above article were also present in the same yearbook (sister) or earlier years (brother). They all have a strong resemblance to each other.

Hi, I was just looking for matches for a John Doe and stumbled upon this boy on NamUs but without pictures. By searching on Google I found your post. So good you found his picture. Is it possible for you to send it to NamUs so the file gets more complete? Have a nice day!
Greetings Susanne

I have sent a request to El Paso police to add the above mentioned pictures to the NamUs case. I found them myself and included them to my mail.

I don't want to be rude or insensitive, but... Is it possible he decided to vanish to avoid being recruited?
I've heard that many young men travelled to Canada to avoid Vietnam war... Not sure if Mexico was also a possible destination for conscientious objectors. Although if he had a bowed leg, he could have been rejected as a soldier, I don't know...
Possible match:
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) (the decedent had a ring made in Mexico, it may be something, it's possibly nothing)
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

I did the same thing today. I contacted NamUs with clearer scans of his 1965-1968 yearbook photos, which they are forwarding to the El Paso Police Department.

I look forward to seeing his updated missing persons flyer.

I posted on Facebook asking if anyone remembered him from El Paso. No one seems to know him, but one of the comments was from a lady that was friends with his sister. I am hoping I may get in contact with her to see what the family dynamic was like and if she thinks he left on his own accord.

Getting in touch with his sister has been difficult. I haven't given up, but I will post more information on here when I have something to offer.
