Good physical information on Doe so hopefully he could one day be linked to a missing person case.

John Smith Jr.

Any chance this could be a match? Looking at the facial hair and circumstances it could be he ended up in Texas from Nevada. Eye color doesn’t match John Smiths eyes being brown vs the UID’s being blue is a major discrepancy though.

On July 9, 1973, a young man was discovered deceased beside the northbound lane of Interstate 35 near Rockport, Texas. He is believed to have been in his mid to late teens at the time of death. Authorities believe he died from a hit-and-run vehicle collision and the death has been ruled a homicide. The young man was tall and thin being 5’10” and 145 pounds at the time of death. He had fine hair on his upper lip and chin, as if he had not yet shaved. He was wearing a straw hat, white shirt, white Levi’s brand jeans, a blue and red braided elastic belt with a gold buckle, and brown shoes. The image shown is a facial approximation created by a NCMEC Forensic Artist that depicts what he may have looked like in life.

I found another potential:

Milton Raymond Hawkins

  • Missing Since06/04/1972
  • Missing FromSan Francisco, California
  • ClassificationEndangered Missing
  • SexMale
  • RaceWhite
  • Date of Birth01/23/1948 (77)
  • Age24 years old
  • Height and Weight6'1 - 6'3, 175 - 200 pounds
  • Distinguishing CharacteristicsWhite male. Sandy brown hair, blue eyes. Hawkins may use the aliast names Steven Craig Cunningham and/or Raymond A. Harder. His nickname is Ray and some agencies refer to him as Milton Ray Hawkins. Hawkins previously fractured both legs in a fall when he was sixteen years old.
  • Hawkins was last seen boarding a bus in San Francisco, California on June 4, 1972. He was supposed to take the bus home, but never arrived and has never been heard from again.

In the days following his disappearance, Hawkins was scheduled to testify in court against members of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. It's unclear if his disappearance was related to his testimony. Few details are available in his case.

Notable facial comparison to the recon. Facial hair matches, blue eyes.
Only thing is that his ht/wt are much heigher than doe. Also the scars doe had on/ around the knees - could that match up to 2 previously fractured legs? Lastly, he would have been held for a while - June of 1972 where the doe is found July of 1973.

You would think someone would miss this young man? I wonder if there's DNA available?

Texas 35 goes from Rockport and pretty much along the more coastal region and up into Houston.
