ROMA – A Starr Co. family is asking the public to help locate two missing teenagers.

Mario Alberto Garza, 17, and Rosbel Garza, 19, have not been seen since Wednesday morning.

Deputies said they found their truck on fire on La Sagunada Road near FM 755 the same day they were reported missing by family.

Investigators said the truck was driven into the property by ramming through a gate.

Anyone with information about the teens’ whereabouts can call the Starr County Sheriff’s Office at 956-487-5571.

Sheriff's office: Truck found on fire in Starr County connected to missing teens

The Starr County Sheriff’s Office confirms that a truck found on fire on Wednesday is the same vehicle two missing teens were reportedly last seen in, according to Maj. Carlos Delgado, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

At about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Starr County deputies met with a mother who stated that both of her sons, 17-year-old Mario Alberto Garza and 19-year-old Rosbel Garza, left the house in a grey Dodge Dakota single cab at about 9 a.m., but had not returned.

Deputies say earlier in the day at about 4 p.m., they responded to a vehicle on fire on La Sagunada Road, about four miles west of Farm-to-Market-Road 755.

Preliminary investigation reveals a mid-size pickup truck was driven through a gate before it struck a mesquite tree and left to burn.

That linked article was dated Friday, October 20th 2017. It is hard to believe that they haven't found the brothers after finding the vehicle almost 2 years ago!
