i'm still somewhat new here...how long does it usually take the to either confirm that its a match or to rule someone out?

  • #502
I just e-mailed Jane Doe's Admin (from contacts on Namus) that Roxanne could be a PM. Not sure how they will take it as, what they will do with it, but hopefully we will see soon(: Who knows, it could already be a rule out and not listed on NAMUS, but I had to be sure otherwise it would bug me!

I got an e-mail back from Michale Nance the admin for Jane Doe's file, and he said they are both in CODIS already, meaning they probably were already checked, but he was going to further look into it to make sure there is 100% exclusion. He did not mention if she was going to be added to the rule out list, I hope she is, but now we sit and wait...you just never know! It most likely is not her, but it is nice to be sure so we can close that possibility up and look at other things instead.

Paltauf’s mother, Elizabeth Harris, along with others from Roxanne’s family, passed out flyers and bumper stickers Sunday on Rundberg near where she went missing.

Harris continues to create awareness about her daughter’s disappearance and wants to find her daughter.

Austin woman still missing seven years later

"I'm just really pleading with the public. If somebody is out there, please come forward. It's been a long time," said Harris.

Harris has been in touch with the detectives working on the case, which is now considered a cold case homicide instead of a missing person.

"I'm out here to find my daughter. I know somebody has an answer out there, if we are diligent we'll find some answers," said Harris.

7 years for daughter gone missing

Snipped quote from Elizabeth Harris, Roxi's mother:

"I know somebody has the answer out there and I know if we are diligent enough in what we do, we will find her or find some answers. Rundberg has cleaned up a whole lot and I would like this one dark image of Roxanne being missing to be off the Rundberg area."

You're correct about that. I do recall them saying that the boyfriend brought back her supposed clothes, none of which were hers because they were too small.

I know that this may sound kind of lame, but I can believe that if someone was mad enough after an argument, and they decided to walk away and leave, that they might not take their purse, wallet, extra clothes, phone...etc because they plan to come right back. I can totally see her not bringing her phone because she didn't want to be bothered. Now with that said, I do think the boyfriend knows more than he's letting on. I guess I'm just different. If I were in his place and I loved her, but she wanted to leave like that, I would do whatever I could to either take her home, or just leave instead of her, giving us both the chance to cool off, but making sure she's okay especially in a neighbourhood like that.

I really hope she's found. So bump this!

After watching her story on Disappeared, I think that boyfriend knows more then he is saying. I hope they ride him hard to get information! If he doesn't know exactly where she is, I think he at least knows what happened to her.

sorry havent been to this thread in awhile but didnt they say they found a person with her id at one point? if so why is there not more pressure being put on that person if i recall correctly it was a guy that had it so why would he keep a women id? i can see a girl possible using as some kind id instead of thiers but what use would a man have for it

I saw this case on netflix and can't stop thinking about what might of happened! I honestly believe roxeanne is still alive or atleast was alive for a while after her dissapearance but either forced or brainwashed into not contacting her family. Was there any recent updates on this case?

Where is Roxy? :anguish:

I really feel like someone did the crime and now they need to do the time. :jail:

Did this person have help? I think someone out there knows something about her disappearance and I pray that they speak up during my lifetime. :please:

Roxanne has such a natural beauty that shines!

Someone out there has the answers to what happened. I hope that in the future LE will have the knowledge and leverage necessary to get the answers Roxanne's family needs.

He claimed she dropped it in his car when he gave Roxanne and her BF a ride. He wanted the I.d. back to return it to her, claiming they were friends, then admitted they were not. The BF backed up the story about them getting a ride with him, but their stories differed about where the ride was to.

I think LE has some high suspicions, but without any physical evidence, are reluctant to press charges for fear of losing and then being unable to retry the case down the line.

Bumping for Roxanne. <3
