Akagbusi's mother told FOX 26 she last saw her son around 4 a.m. when he was using the restroom and cleaned him up. As soon as she realized he wasn't in his room, she ran outside.

"I came out and I saw his shoes. I found his shoes down the road. Then we looked further, and I saw him in a neighbor’s camera running. That’s the last I saw," she says.

Texas EquuSearch, authorities, and the community were searching all around the neighborhood in Fort Bend County. Assistant Chief told FOX 26 they’re looking into anomalies found in the water.

There is a very sad update. :(

An 8-year-old boy from Richmond reported missing by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has been found dead, authorities confirmed Sunday.

*****
FBCSO said Texas Equusearch found Ryan “in the lake near his last known location.” He tragically did not survive, authorities confirmed in a phone call with KPRC 2.

I feel like this has happened before, several years ago, where all of a sudden there was a spate of non-verbal or autistic boys wandering away from home all around the same time. There have been so many - including the two Arizona boys last week who were not on the spectrum but just . . . walked off into the distance for some reason. It's fairly rare for a child to just get up in the wee hours and leave the house, but we keep seeing it right now. So so sad.

not even 2 months ago a 12 year old non verbal, autistic girl drowned near her home in a lake, not 10 miles from this little man's location. Horrible, just horrible. I hope Ryan is singing with the angels now, and at peace.
