I wondered about this because most the bullet wounds were not at close range and she was out of her car...she was trapped in a room and shot. LE is looking at her home, journals ect.

A sheriff’s deputy found Dean lying on the ground next to a vehicle with a black plastic bag over her head, the warrant says...

According to the warrant, several items, including bed sheets, a baby book and personal diaries, were removed from Dean’s home as evidence.

The warrant also says the car’s backseat had been removed, further indicating Dean’s body may have been moved. The new details bring uncertainty to exactly where Dean was killed.

This detail is strange. I wonder what kind of evidence would have been found on that backseat. Did her killer surprise her from the backseat?

I think Samantha was shot elsewhere, the bag was put over her head because head wounds are messy, and she was transported in the back seat of her car to the location where she was found.

I am curious about her car still being there, though. Does the perp live nearby or did someone give him a ride away from the mall? Did he leave a getaway vehicle staged there beforehand?

If this murder was premeditated the killer could have stashed a bicycle in the area where the body was dumped and ride away.

A witness also reported hearing a scream around 1 a.m. on Feb. 4 in the area Dean's body was located, according to the warrant.
