MISSING: Grandmother says fake cop connected to 6-year-old boy’s disappearance

May 31 2021

Tanya Olson, Samuel’s grandmother, told the outlet that she has full custody of the boy, but both parents claim they don’t have the child and don’t know where he is.

So according to the grandmother, she has custody of the boy??
There appears to be quite a bit of creative thinking amongst the family members in this case. Or they are just VERY confused as to who has custody. of little Samuel.

This is such a messy case. I am thankful that Tim Miller is still working it because he usually walks away when everyone is lying like this.

I think he had to be given something somewhat solid for him to search that area. JMO

I keep going back to Sam’s initial missing person description.

He was fully dressed, including shoes, at 730am on a Thursday morning. He just turned 6 this weekend, so is it likely he was in kindergarten or preschool and ready for school? If not why was he fully dressed so early? IMO kiss don’t usually put shoes on until it’s time to leave the house. If he’s in school or daycare, can they give an accurate time he was last seen? Was the grandmother his usual caregiver on weekday mornings? Did he spend Wednesday night at her house or did Dad drop him off earlier Thursday morning? WHERE IS SAMUEL???

I took that to mean he has a PO against the child’s mother. MOO
And I believe the child's mother has a no contact order against the girlfriend. So they have duelling PO's.

MISSING: Grandmother says fake cop connected to 6-year-old boy’s disappearance
Samuel Olson, 6, was last seen Thursday in Houston, in the 8800 block of McAvoy Drive. According to Samuel’s grandmother, Tanya Olson, someone dressed up as a cop showed up with the boy’s mother and took him. Tanya said Samuel was being cared for by a family member of his father’s fiancée when the incident happened, ABC 13 reports.

So is the grandmother giving hearsay as to the fake cop story? If she wasn't there how can she say that is what happened? Samuel was at the g/friends families house not hers???? IMO
So wait.....little Samuel wasn't being cared for by the fathers fiancee. He was being cared for by a family member of the fiancee. Goodness. Sweet little Samuel seems to have been passed around. MOO

No. The father’s fiancée /gf was arrested for family violence in November and he has a protective order against her that is still active. They explained to the reporter that they were having problems but got past them. They said that Samuel wasn’t there at the time. Fwiw.

I was wondering this as well.

It’s unclear actually. Since that old interview with the grandma, the KPR2 reporter today talked with father and his girlfriend/fiancée and they told him that it was the girlfriend/fiancée who actually was with Samuel at her mom’s house and claimed this abduction supposedly happened.

"Samuel wasn't there at the time". Well that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy not. MOO

Awful. It’s confirmation that we are not missing something. <modsnip>

After watching that video my hands are so wet with crocodile tears I can barely type. I’ll have to sit on them for awhile.

Texas EquuSearch volunteers look for any sign of missing Houston boy

States updated 1 hr ago

Theresa Balboa, who is Sam's father's girlfriend, said she last saw the child on Thursday morning in the 8800 block of McAvoy Drive in southwest Houston.

"I've literally tried to do everything from the very beginning to do what's best for my son," said Sam's father, Dalton Olson. "That is my whole world and I can't imagine if anything happened to him and I believe he's still out there."

Over the weekend, Tanya (grandmother) told ABC13 that a man who claimed to be a police officer showed up demanding to take the boy.

"I've worked many, many of these cases. I don't have a good feeling," said Texas EquuSearch founder Tim Miller. "Nobody can find out anybody that's credible that can tell us the last time he was seen and where."

With Tim Miller saying "anybody that's credible" says a lot. IMO

Top video here is reporter Brandon Walker’s 6pm report - he was the great reporter on scene today. Worth the click.
Search underway for 6-year-old boy from Webster missing since Thursday, Texas EquuSearch says
TB states she was about to take Sam to school when his mother and “fake cop” demanded she give him to them. The school should at least confirm the last day he was there.

Even more concerning is she said she cannot remember any physical characteristics of the man, other than he had a full police uniform, gun, handcuffs and a radio.
