why do they say "months" if it was since january 2020? im thinking this is misinfo and it was january 2021. the "not going to school for 2 months" would make more sense in that case.

No the grandmother verified January 2020 in a video she did from her home.

OMG I guess we knew how this would turn out. I’m so sick of reading about dead children. Do we know if it’s the GF they detained? If there’s joint custody, why hasn’t the mother seen him in a year. Could it be the father has physical custody?

Not if he(dad) " believed" the girlfriends story of mom and "cop" taking Samuel away.... dad would think mom has Samuel.......pieces coming together finally.
But if Samuel has been with dad the past month and LE is saying the child has been in the tote for a while, why didn’t dad notice he was missing?

Wow, how did the reporter know that?
Based on the reporting, I think the reporters on scene got a lot of time talking with DO and TO and maybe even TB that we didn’t necessarily see on camera. Plus Tim Miller.

‘Too many holes in that story’: Attorney speak on behalf of mother of missing 6-year-old Samuel Olson

Attorney Marco González spoke on the behalf of Sarah Olson and discussed the child custody case and about her missing son around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

González said his client had primary custody and was denied for many months from getting the child. He said Sarah hasn’t had access to Samuel since the last time she saw him in January 2020. González said Sarah wanted them to speak so she could have a voice in the case.

He stated that she is very emotional, stressed and wants to know where her child is located. González also said the story Balboa told investigators and the media was a lie and made up, and confirmed she hasn’t seen her child in nearly a year. The attorney said Sarah hasn’t been able to get in touch with Dalton or the grandmother, so she hasn’t had much communication with Samuel.

González said the father took Samuel and failed to return him. He said Samuel went two months without going to school before being taken to another school in Jersey Village. When Sarah and Dalton divorced, the custody agreement allegedly placed the child with the mother, which has not been modified since 2019, according to González. He said Sarah would initially exchange the child through the paternal grandmother, Tonya Olson.

The attorney stated Jan 2020.
The only other date I read was 2019 (the custody agreement allegedly placed the child with the mother, which has not been modified since 2019)

I wonder why Mom is the one to identify the body and not Dad. Especially since he hasn't been in Mom's custody for over a year.

Where is Samuel’s dad? Where has he been for the last month? Perhaps out of town working continually on a construction job?

Maybe LE feels Mom wasn't involved in Samuels death.
