GUILTY TX - Sarah Walker, 40, stabbed to death in McKinney model home, 8 July 2006

OMG I just heard on Nancy Grace that Sarah Anne had reached out to several dating services including something like Millionaires.com, and it is a possibility this is how the killer found out who she was!

More at the top of the hour! Is anyone safe anymore?

A number of years ago a realtor was killed in Bethlehem, Pa. She went to show a home that was for sale to someone. She met the person there. She had worked for Weichert Realtors I think,....and they never found who murdered her. She hadn't left enough information at all in her office, or notes about this meeting. I worked "alone" for eight years in an office. Now that I come on WS......I don't think I'd do that again. It was fine at the time......I felt almost like the weekly shrink on occasion.

Hello CP,:blowkiss:

I am glad that you are going to address it.

What security measures are imposed by Real Estate Agents and thier entities?
Do you carry oc spray? Is there a policy and training for them?Do the company cellphones have GPS capability?(provided the agents are given company phones)
Does the company pay for "RealGuard" personal alarms?
Pat Dougherty is one of the founders of RealSafe.net.

When an agent uses the picture phone, the agent can transmit the image of a client. That image is stored in RealSafe.net database.

When you sent the picture, instead of just clicking sent, you send a subject line, the address of the home being shown by RealSafe."
Please be safe.
Respectfully,

None of that is available. I am printing your post and hopefully someone will listen.

We keep security guards onsite. It's pretty effective IMO. Their presence alone is a deterrent.

Do you remember Scandi that Sarah had all of her info on that dating service site including a lot of pictures of herself. She even told how much money she made a year, etc. LE are getting her computers and looking at who all she had contact with from the dating sites and going to question all of them.

I wonder if she met someone through a dating site and they met but he didn't do anything for her but he thought different? That many stab wounds are a sign of rage or overkill. Maybe he was really angry because she turned him down and didn't take rejection well. Anyone could give all of that info on one of those dating sites and be lying through their teeth. Who knows what he might have been in reality. Like it was said on Nancy Grace a person doesn't hesitate between stabs they just stab and stab and stab...rage. He didn't take anything so it wasn't a robbery. She also wasn't raped.

I watched a true story not long ago about a serial killer. He would see a woman that he liked and he would watch her and get her routine down and where she worked, lived, etc. He found out that this woman sold real estate and so he went to her work and made an appt to see a certain house that she was selling. They met at the house in the early evening...light out...and they looked through the expensive house and once they got upstairs he raped and murdered her. It sure would have scared me to death if I sold real estate. I think I would want to partner up with a strong male even if it meant splitting every commission. Especially if I lived in a fairly good sized city.

ETA: In reading one article, the brother says she had sold the properties and was merely "babysitting" at this point. His way of saying she had earned the commission and it is owed her.
As the agents on this thread can tell you, selling is not the same as closing. The real work comes in maintaining the deal and bringing it to close. So, she was hardly babysitting, I am sure she was working very hard.
But with that being said, it really depends on where she was in the sales cycle. if the houses are days from close her estate is more entitled to the commissions than if the houses were not complete or not near closing.
This is so true. It sounds as if her lots were all sold, but it's ALOT of work maintaining a sale. If her homes were closing or getting close to closing her son/family deserves her commission. Some builders don't pay the commission until the homes close which sometimes can take 6 months or longer. Those are the pay checks we new homes sales proffesionals work so hard for- and can't wait to see!

I can't wait to get more information on Sara, I can't get her off my mind.

Her ex-husband was on Greta last night and he said she had told him a couple times about a few younger guys she had dated and all they wanted was to move in with her so she could take care of them.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that this was a stranger killing. I think that it was someone that she knew. I believe that I read that someone had broken into her home a few years ago and something else happened. I am on the fence with it being the ex-husband as it's been said that they had a good relationship. It may have been an ex-boyfriend or someone who was obsessed with her.

ETA: I think that I read that she was found by a couple at around 1:30 p.m. and had been seen alive 30 minutes prior to this time. Someone was awfully bold to do this in broad daylight at a model home. Anyone could have entered the home at any time. I sure hope that someone saw something (perhaps a car).

IMO, someone was really enraged and intent on killing her. It's seems hard to believe that it would be the ex-husband because of the time and place. Could it have been a spurned lover, ex-boyfriend or someone she met on one of the dating sites??

The ex said that last Nov. Sara had called him and asked him to pick her up at the hospital because she had been attacked and had a head injury. He said he picked her up, took her home and searched everywhere to make sure no one was there since the doctor had told her to stay in bed the whole day.

One thing I found curious. Greta asked him who had custody. He kinda hesitated and then said they had joint custody. He had him 5 days a week and Sara had him 2 days. That doesn't quite sound like joint custody seeing as he had him more days with him. NOt equal time at all. What's up with that?

Maybe he said it because he didn't want to make her look like a bad mom. She was just killed, and maybe he didn't want any negative aspect on her. As a new home sales person we work ALOT of hours... and EVERY weekend. It's very hard when you have little ones. My hubsband watches our kids and takes them to all sport activities, and so on. Our days off are two days during the week while everyone else has the weekends. This is probably when she had her son. She may have had more than two days with him, but it may gave been easier on her and her husbands schedule for their son to stay with her in the evenings. I don't know about in Dallas, but DR Horton is open until 7 in the evening in Houston. AND that is if you get off work on time.

And with that new development, wouldn't there be a "window" of time where they wanted to try and get buyers lined up? I remember when my husband and I were house hunting. We'd usually show up separately and meet our relator at the house being shown, but sometimes we'd be late and of course, she tried to be there before us to open it up. I know I wouldn't like to be alone in strange homes.

Doesn't Sara have another son, whose 15 yrs old? I think he is from a prior marriage. I haven't heard anything about this other ex-husband. I hope this older boy is doing ok.

In retrospect, at least the younger boy won't have to adjust to a new home, since he's been staying with his dad a lot already. He has enought to deal with right now. Poor baby.

Yup, she does but haven't heard anything about him or his dad. Yet.
