GUILTY TX - Sarah Walker, 40, stabbed to death in McKinney model home, 8 July 2006

  • #141
Sarah Anne Walker used to tell her friends that life was worth enjoying. She never needed to be reminded in return.
An expensive Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz sat in her driveway. Fancy clothes came from Saks and Neiman Marcus. Friends joined her on luxurious vacations to California, Colorado and Hawaii.

...

About eight months ago, she told police that she thought she had been robbed at her Frisco apartment. Ms. Walker had a bump on her head when police arrived, but she wasn't able to tell them whether she was struck. She didn't normally lock her doors.
Police thought she was intoxicated and paramedics took her to the hospital.
Ms. Walker also told her family that in November she was attacked so severely that she couldn't see properly, but Frisco police say they have no records of the incident.

Ms. Walker went to her office at a model home in the sprawling Craig Ranch development in McKinney.
She phoned a friend around 12:30. Less than an hour later, a couple from Plano found her body in the kitchen and waved down a passer-by to call police. Investigators would later say many of her 27 stab wounds were defensive, indicating she put up a fight in her final moments.

I saw Nancy's show, close_enough but she had nothing on the case. I think the Lebanon conflict may have overridden what she had planned to have on.

I didn't watch Greta's show though.

Good night...sleep tight...see ya tomorrow.

Izzy, have you heard any updates on this case? I am beginning to worry that the murderer may not have left evidence behind as I first thought.

Concerned Person, I talked with my daughter in South Carolina today and she says her company is sending fax alerts to all agents when something occurs concerning any threat, robbery, rape, murder etc. of another agent. They had alerted them about this case. I believe she said they received the information this past Wednesday.

hi ocean, i had just logged in to let you know the latest report i heard, which was at 3 PM central time, on our news radio station, KRLD. they reported that McKinney police are still interviewing people. according to this report they have found out a lot about the victim through these interviews, but there was NO indication at all in this radio report that they were near to naming a suspect(s) and there was no mention of physical evidence leading them to someone.

so i would say that means there is still a lot of gumshoe going on, or at least that is what they want the public to believe.

Thanks. We really don't know how wide a scope they have to do....many times victims like Sarah know a large amount of people from all walks of life.......some not so good for them sometimes.

Hi Jeana.

I did read on the McKinney Police Department site the notice which is listed under Unsolved Homicide-Sarah Walker and it is very vague. The reward is at 30K now.

Sorry I don't know how to do links or I would provide it for you.

There have been blurbs on the news here in the Dallas area that it may turn out to be a woman. If that is the case, I would think it would be a girlfriend or a wife of someone the victim had dated. I've also wondered about another employee of D. R. Horton. I sell real estate in the Dallas area and almost all of the model homes in the area in which I work have more than one person around. Usually, there will be someone in the office as well as someone showing people through the model homes. They want salespeople around to be able to answer prospective buyer's questions.

I was also wondering if it has been clarified that Sarah was the one wanting the divorce. If not and her husband divorced her for a younger woman, she could have feigned those previous attacks to get his attention and sympathy trying to win him back. She also might know something about his past that she had threatened to tell his fiance that enraged him.

They are not printing much about the case in the news here.

It seems there must be a good reason to keep what they have learned so close to the vest. It makes sense they don't want to spook the killer into running if they think what is coming out might lead in their direction!

So I read the struggle was in two areas of the house. That means there was evidence there to show them that, and it is amazing what LE can learn about even the smallest piece of evidence. I also read like I said, the feeling was he was still very taken or in love with Sarah. That could then lead to the thought of the fiance, angered and exasperated to the point of murder to get Sarah gone and out of his life forever.

I still find his interview with Greta a but suspicious, and it could be if he suspects his fiance might have been involved with Sarah's death it might change how he presents himself. If so, it would be in the back of his mind, the thought of it haunting him. And also if that were the case, it might be a struggle to go to the police with this if he has no proof and of course must love her. We know he was interviewed twice by LE, and maybe he decided he should tell them his suspicions, that is if there is anything to the fiance involvement.

I'm just dying and ready to find out right now! LOL

ETA: Oops, Forgot to say thank you YellowDog for the post.

I still can't keep from wondering if one of her co-workers had a thing for her, she spurned him or her, they knew her schedule, showed up, made a move on her, she resisted and they killed her in a fit of rage.

But would they come with a knife hiding in their clothing? The house was set up, but do we know if that included al the amenities of a kitchen? If he/she did use a kitchen knife, I can see why it would take so many stabs to finally kill her.

Thanks for the information Close Enough. I had been wondering about that.

Hello Scandi.................I have heard that the knife was small so maybe it could have been a man's pocketknife. Or if it was a woman going there to confront her, she might have carried along a knife for self-protection or to threaten Sarah.

I aven't heard how well equipped the kitchen in the model home might have been.

They are releasing very little new information on this case.

This is one of those cases I'm becoming obsessed with...uh-oh. I am constantly thinking about it. Maybe because we are in the same profession, or who knows. I just know I wish we were getting more information. But since we aren't I hope LE is holding it back and has info that will result in an arrest.
