Sometimes it's the lifestyle these kids have grown up in. It's all they know. I saw it first hand when I would volunteer in my kids classes. Some of those kids I knew as 2nd and 3rd graders are in prison for various felonies. Heartbreaking.Watching the video and the follow-up comments by the Judge re. powder-keg, I was deeply saddened. In these two cases, we are talking about victims and a defendant ranging from ages 15-22. They are kids! Why this life?
I've read that SS /MG relationship began in school and her family's initial beef with MG was that he was older and their first fear became a reality when SS dropped out of school. Next it was the DV, and now her life is over -- MG's too.
I'm sorry these kids do not view education as a guarantee to a better life than street hustling. Reportedly, ES lost his life over $60. Really? I truly hope this tragedy wakes up some of these teens (and their parents too). JMO
Curious if anyone knows who the larger individual is first seen at 25 seconds into this video putting the headlock onto a female? Were they arrested or charged as part of this melee --- or which parties side of the fight they were 'on'?Something I wondered about after reading the article below is if it is possible that the crimes committed against SS, MG and Fabian were motivated by the courtroom fight in October. According to Fox news, MG also joined SS’ brothers when they attacked VR. SS also attempts to help them when a woman jumps between VR and her brothers and tries to pull her away from them. SS appears to grab or try to grab the woman’s hair to drag her away from VR when another woman comes from behind her and locks her arms around her. SS defends herself back by aiming for the woman’s face, eyes and hair. The officers quickly pull them apart and check on SS while the other woman is escorted out of the courtroom while still exchanging words with SS. You could definitely feel the tension in the court as VR, the two woman and their friends and family glared at SS and her kin. VR in my opinion wears a particularly evil or mean look as he gave one last glance across the courtroom. This event could make not just SS’ brothers but both SS and MG targets too because they were both involved in the fighting.
Just conjecture or a theory though and could absolutely be wrong.

I heard in one of the news stories SS was the only girl. She had 7 brothers. My guess is there are 6 very angry/heartbroken young men in San Antonio right now,. JMO
Her purse and phone being there is more of a red flag to me. I don’t EVER leave without my purse. Sometimes my phone but never my purse. NEVER EVER both. Even with my husband driving…..Candle left burning could honestly be a red herring.
Young people (and these were very young) can be neglectful and not think to put out a candle before leaving. It can happen to anyone really. I don’t think that a candle left burning is particularly relevant to this case and I don‘t think they were forced out of the apartment.
Secondly, I would love to know what (if anything) MG’s dad took with him/ removed from the apartment after he kicked the apartment door in. How long was he inside, what did he touch, was he aware of where MG kept his drugs, cash stash, guns?
Wondering if he’s the one who reported MG’s weapon as missing?
Also, if you kick a door in can you lock up when you leave or do you need a repair before locking the door again? It seems like kicking a door in would cause some decent damage. Did he just leave after that with an unlocked apartment and broken lock/ damaged door?
...Telegram's content is not moderated, but that doesn't mean that law enforcement isn't watching. So maybe that was a concern??
I would go for "young punks" over cartel for the following reasons:What got me thinking it is cartel/mafia related and that he was just in over his head is the mentioning by a cousin of torture and the ruthless killing of an innocent young mother. I just don’t think some young punk or jealous lover walked into their apartment kidnapped and killed them.
And the cycle continues.Or right now there are 6 young men in San Antonio now seeking their own level of revenge.
It’s exhausting. My 8 year old told me 2 mornings ago, “Mom I’m pretty sure Nathan downloaded Tik Tok after you told him he absolutely could not. Pretty sure. Yep. Pretty sure. Just sayin’….”I just learned about Telegram and what it is from this case. Parents now days must have a heck of a time trying to keep track of all the social platforms.
True, but remember genetic DNA that is being used now. She may not have prints on file assuming that’s what happened here, but DNA from her or him could match to familial DNA in a database...I've read on previous posts that some of you feel like the person who was briefly seen outside of the car's drivers seat has long hair in a ponytail and might be a female.
What if the higher ups involved and possibly the big guy made one of the females from their side drive the car with the bodies to that location? I've seen some of you say it appears that the big guy wiped his prints off of the top corner of the victims car quickly, if he had a towel or paper towels, handed to him from the backseat.
Since the driver of the KIA was out and back in the car so fast I feel like it's possible the big guy admonished her and told her to get back in the car now and she did. If so it was a rookie mistake that was long enough to get some idea of the person's hair.
I feel like she's a crash test dummy for the people involved with the murders. Meaning if the car had been seen driving and police pulled the car over she would be the only one known to be with the 3 murdered. I don't think she has any idea what she was supposed to do at the caught on camera meet up. That's why she briefly exited or tried to get out of the car but was told to drive a little further to where the car was found of camera. If so, there's a good reason to believe that she doesn't have a record or fingerprints on file. That's why I called her a crash test dummy, authorities wouldn't be able to ID her prints in the car. Which in turn would be a good reason why it appears that there wasn't the urgency to wipe the steering wheel or door handle etc off. Not like there was with the big guy. MOO
Quoting from the article:Judge Mery doesn’t allow still or video cameras in his courtroom, but at least two people present took videos of the fight and its aftermath, which quickly circulated among courthouse regulars. This report from Oct 22, 2023 provides details of the courtroom brawl in real time:

Texas murder suspect attacked by victim’s family inside courtroom after gesturing to them: report
The melee happened in front of a bench full of other inmates as two court bailiffs rushed in to separate the brawl, video obtained by KSAT shows.nypost.com
Victor Nathaneal Rivas, 18, was awaiting his appearance for his murder trial in the May 2022 shooting death of 15-year-old Ethan Soto when chaos unfolded inside the courtroom.
Rivas then made a gesture toward Soto’s grieving relatives in the gallery, according to the San Antonio Express.
One of Soto’s male relatives jumped the railing and began beating the accused murderer before three others joined the fracas that lasted more than 30 seconds.
[..]
Rivas only suffered minor injuries.
“He is going to be bruised and swollen,” Rivas’ attorney Adam La Hood told the San Antonio Express.
[..]
The four relatives — two men and two teenagers —were arrested and charged with assault and disruption of court proceedings.
Rivas is accused of killing Soto as an act of revenge for when the younger teen allegedly robbed THC cartridges from Rivas, according to KSAT citing an arrest affidavit.
Rivas, outraged by the robbery, allegedly shot at Soto and his family’s home, but the 15-year-old was not injured in that shooting.
In an attempt to calm the situation between the teens, Soto’s mother met up with Rivas to pay for the stolen cartridges, an interaction Rivas has denied, according to the TV station.
Rivas then reached out to an underage girl on Instagram and asked for her to set up a drug deal with Soto and “stated several times that he was looking for the person who robbed him and was going to ‘catch’ him when he saw him,” the affidavit stated.

They don't catch the smart onesQuoting from the article:

The girl and Soto arranged to meet up for a drug deal involving the stolen cartridges before Soto was ambushed by Rivas, the outlet said.
Soto was shot multiple times and was rushed to a hospital where he later died.

This Rivas kid was either not very bright or WANTED to get caught.
My heart goes out to the Sotos mother![]()
I opined the same earlier when asked if he was in a gang -- they don't need/want stupid. This Rivas kid was either not very bright or WANTED to get caught.
She appears to be a friend of the woman wearing the black shirt and jeans who was trying to defend VR. To me it appears the tall woman who uses a headlock was trying to intervene or protect her friend when SS almost lunged to grab her by her hair. To be fair I think SS was also trying to protect her brothers who might have been getting hit by the women in jeans as she shielded VR from them.Curious if anyone knows who the larger individual is first seen at 25 seconds into this video putting the headlock onto a female? Were they arrested or charged as part of this melee --- or which parties side of the fight they were 'on'?
