has it been hot in Texas? why was this guy in a slingshot? could HE have got spatter and took his shirt off?

also, he is large, he could have had something in his shirt but his shoulders and arms look flabby.
I was warm enough Dec 22-24th. We got a cold front after it rained on Christmas Eve

They park in full view of surveillance cameras, exit the vehicles to pass a towel to wipe off prints. What a couple of idiots.

So the driver of the Kia leaves the view of that camera, and then parks it elsewhere. Who then picks up the driver, I wonder? Same black truck?
That would be my guess. (truck was described as dark colored pickup truck, with a bed cover, no definite color)

If that's a women driving the car I would be really surprised. How many women do you know that could drive a car with a deceased, shot in the head, nine month pregnant female slummed over in the passenger seat with a baby seat in her lap. That would be some kind of harden women. She could probably eat things that would make a billy goat puke.

I bet it was ring camera or similar. (tenant owned)

Assuming they have the vehicle in police custody- can the internal GPS data be extracted to retrace their (vehicular) footsteps and piece together a timeline of their last days/hours of activity? This could reveal when they left home, where they went, and line it up with the new camera information to find the date/time and perhaps location & perpetrator of their demise. I'm sure phone data is also being collected and analyzed at this point as well, as we all know we're tracked wherever we go as long as we have a mobile phone on us. Hoping for a swift resolution to this devastating case.
Car telematics (location data, speed, door and light events) have proven huge in solving cases like this, and depending on the year of the vehicle, I think there’s a good chance it is equipped with that technology.

Hopefully a lot of good DNA or prints on the baby car seat as well. There is no way they could have carefully cleaned off all door handles, door frames, keys, gear shift, etc., plus touching the bodies to lift them into the car if that’s what they did…

Not in 2013 used Kia.
My 2013 Subaru never had it.

I think it was a newly purchased used 2013. I wonder if you need a subscription service which they probably didn’t have, or if basic data is still recorded somewhere, if that model came with it.

Usually it’s automatically logged, but I’m not optimistic now if it’s that old.

Without navigation there is no GPS link to satellites to track position. Hard telling if the car had navigation or not.

Airbag module might tell speed, whether brakes are applied, ect for crash purposes. But nothing really good there for telling where the car has been.

Who would want to take a gun that had been used to kill two people?? even if was murder-suicide! You don't want to be found with that gun!
I doubt the gun, if there was a gun in the car, would be registered.

I have seen similar builds on men I think it is all him.... could have taken a jacket or shirt off, but I think some people run hot and wear summer clothes year round.

especially while hefting heavy "items" that can get them dirty.

Re: Optima headlights or not

I think the Optima has headlights on just as it turns the corner, flashes them and left turn indicator quickly, probably to signal to the truck, and then both the headlights and left turn indicator are off as it pulls forward.

I'm sure they did. You can easily wipe off fingerprints but not DNA, unless they used a cleaning agent. I think that driver side area will be a goldmine. Hopefully he's in the system.
Anyone involved in the cold blooded murder of 3 people - especially a heavily pregnant young woman, is almost certainly in the system.
Let's hope, anyway.

Incredible video footage! I'm so glad there is a lead here. I keep thinking about the baby, he had no chance in this world and it's just so sad. Hopefully these vile people are caught as soon as possible.
Capital murder. Death penalty. Fast tracked!

The perp driving the car looks like they have long hair so maybe they left some samples behind despite wiping the car down?

Also the perp in the white shirt grabbed the driver’s door when it was about to swing closed so maybe police were able to get fingerprints?

I wonder if one of the perps had lived or worked on the property at one point but weren’t aware that afterwards cameras had been installed or that residents were able to install their own?

I’m now questioning whether that light colored object he handed the driver and then seemed to return to someone in the truck was a cleanup towel. The driver had it for about a whole 5 seconds. Even the most nervous person would think they’d need to do a decent cleanup job. Plus, they continued driving the car after that.

Could it perhaps have been a towel to cover the gun, and then both were handed back to the truck driver to get rid of?
