A man accused of severely beating a toddler who later died has been indicted on a murder charge, according to court documents.

Joshua Thomas Fulbright, 26, was free Thursday from Clay County Jail on a $50,000 bond, according to court and jail records.

Fulbright's bail conditions include wearing a GPS ankle monitor and having no contact with co-defendant Sarah Elizabeth Newsom, 26, court documents show.

Sarah is also charged with felony injury to a child, according to court records.

Am I missing something here - he is out on bond with a murder charge?? And this is Texas? I had him already out on bond on 12/23/19. Didn't know about Newsom being out though. I had her bond at $500K - does that mean she came up with the 10% of $50K??!!

Unfortunately they don't have a court site where you can look up their cases, just a calendar - and I have them both on my "look-up-every-day/week" list.

That is somewhat a very old article. Last was - they both had announcement hearings on 3/21/22 & yes, they will be tried in Montague County.
I have them on my "to look up every-day/week list" and nothing has come up since March.

An Announcement hearing is usually where they change their plea - so don't know "what" happened at that hearing.
