Mathews told police that Sherin was malnourished and had to be on a special diet to gain weight. She had to be fed whenever she was awake, Perlich said, and wasn’t cooperating when her father tried to feed her.

“So that was the frustration [Mathews] was experiencing that night,”
Perlich said. “But of course we’re working to verify all of that.”

??? It had been sometime that she had been with them... Does the special diet still last that long?

He happened to be awake and outside at 4 a.m. Saturday, less than an hour after she reportedly disappeared, lighting his grill so that he could cook a brisket later in the day.

“At 4 a.m. in the morning, it was quiet. If a child four houses away cried out, I would hear it,” Morse said. “If a car drove by, I would know.”

My understanding is that trash hasn't been picked up for this neighborhood since the Sherine was reported missing.
Monday and Thursday residential trash removal-

That is where our trash went when I lived in Richardson. There are over a dozen landfills he could easily get to. However, I'm not aware of any that have it available to open public use. You have to.prove residency with a license and bill, and they keep track of visits. Now, one could throw trash in a dumpster anywhere and have it end up in one of the many landfills. (this concerns me greatly, actually.)

Here is a list of active landfills I found, if anyone is interested.

So that right there tells me that she was never out standing at the tree. And he never came back 15 minutes later to find her missing.

If so, he would have been loudly calling her name, hoping she was nearby. But there was no sound of an urgent father looking for his baby girl. What a surprise...

Yes, there are coyotes in the neighborhood, I saw one recently. However there have been very few human deaths due to them. Around this time last year there was a cat that got cut in half and half of it got left on the owners front yard. There have also been some other mysterious animal deaths around here, especially around this time last year.

i also feed the Ferals and have seen less and less of them lately, but that could be due to the success of TNR.

now because of her size I could see her as a potential prey for a coyote but I doubt that is what happened.

what I do wonder is if this was a regular punishment- putting her outside- and the wrong person knew it, saw it, and snatched her.... although the dad does seem like he did something to her.

there are a lot of underground tunnels crisscrossing the railroad area, and I can tell you, on the Dallas side (she's right on the boarder of Dallas and Richardson) have not been searched.

However the FBI is now involved so I am sure those areas will be searched soon. Dallas PD is notoriously understaffed and incompetent and this part of Dallas is the least policed beat- it's a large city. In fact the area is self policed to an extent, which is pathetic. Richardson is much more competent but they don't step on Dallas grounds much.

there are a lot of underground tunnels, creek areas, and whatnot nearby that you can't see on google maps, and there is a lot of crime around these parts.

in fact the secret is there are hundreds of underground tunnels in Dallas- often pipes that funnel water around during flooding, which happens a lot- to redirect water to the right places. Well when there is no flooding people go into these tunnels a lot, especially the homeless. I see it all the time all over Dallas.

I'm really worried this child could be anywhere.
OT - bless you for feeding and fixing feral cats.

Richardson isn't far from the George Bush Tollway..... I wonder if they have checked to see if he went through any toll check points....

Just my opinion..... I don't think they were at the tree or there was ever any milk involved. I think i'd lean more towards a potty accident but I don't even have confidence it happened at 3 am.

I also don't think it is really a common occurrence that anyone in that traditional type family, that a man would be doing laundry at any time of day. Heck, I don't think men in general are going to be doing laundry.... Basically, I believe ZERO of his story.

Welcome Wendiypierce.

I lived near this area, no coyote took the girl. :notgood:

I am not sure. I know there is one in Rowlett but not sure if that's the closest to Richardson or not. I think Richardson is both Dallas and Collin County? So not sure which they use? I live in Collin County

(JMOM, been thinking about Christina Morris when Sherin went missing and hoping that she too will be found one day.)

This is ridiculous. If what he said happened was true, why wouldn't he wake his wife to have her help look for that baby?

Even by his own story, there is no urgency at all that he was concerned about Sherin. He couldn't find her 15 minutes later, supposedly looked around a little bit, went in the house and did laundry, 5 hours later calling to report her missing. Nothing he says makes a damn bit of sense.

Any reports he knocked on neighbors doors looking for her? Did anyone see him outside the house searching for her, calling her name?

Nothing by his own admission that he has done is normal behavior of a father who discovers his 3 year old child missing in the middle of the night. Nothing!

From what I read and posted, at least one neighbor was awake and getting his grill ready early and heard and saw nothing.

So, what time was sunrise?

************

"In the meantime, police are using canine experts and helicopters to try to locate Sherin.*Neighbors and volunteers*are canvassing door-to-door, posting fliers and*organizing search parties.

Neighbors are particularly curious about a detail Mathews*gave to*police in his arrest affidavit — that he knew coyotes had been seen in the alley. But investigators and volunteers agree that nothing indicates a coyote dragged the girl away."

A toddler was sent outside at 3 a.m. as punishment, her father said. Then she disappeared.

So, he puts her out at 3am, does laundry, then an hour later lights the grill. And would've noticed shes not by the tree anymore. So he waits til 8am so he could search for her in the sunlight. Alrighty then.

Alright, laundry, brisket,

:sweep:

Give me a break!

People are serious about their brisket here. My dad wakes up at 2:00-3:00 to start his brisket. Then when we come over for dinner, he complains the whole time about how tired he is, lol. good brisket takes time. Years ago, he heard his neighbor's house getting broken into while they were on vacation.

He didn't light the grill that was a neighbor saying there was no activity on the neighborhood at that time.
