Is a Heavy.com article, "5 Fast Facts about Sherin Mathews" okay to post?
I thought I have seen it posted before, but wanted to make sure before posting. Has some info we haven't seen, so I wanted to share it, but didn't know if it was considered "MSM."
If it isn't okay, please delete this post. Thanks in advance!

Yes...we have posted these often (examples: Cosmo Dinardo, Michael Zamora, etc.)

To provide a visual context, here is a picture of someone standing on the culvert where Sherin was found.
Person said you can see from one side to the other, through the culvert.

Thanks for the photos...sort of like a bridge...sort of...

You're welcome! Actually, no bridges at all--it's completely flat at the RR crossing and at Boswer and Centennial; and just north of that, where she was found (Bowser and Spring Valley), it's just a pipe-culvert sticking out from either side of the road. The bridges are further west down Spring Valley where you have much bigger culverts...ones big enough for an adult to to walk under.

There would be an electronic record of this, unless maybe he drove to a payphone?

Hopefully the Acura's navigation system will fully relay to LE where the car went when the examination of it is complete. Fingers crossed.

(DT) posted the photo below and stated: “This is the opposite side of the culvert where they pulled the girl out from one side to the other it is about 100 feet and you can easily see through it to the other side, it goes under Spring Valley Road, I searched it day 2 when she went missing and I’m sure many people search that same culvert.”

In comments attached to DT's photos, DT writes that LE came and looked in the culvert after he did. This was on day 2.
The only way her body could have gotten there without human help is if the coyotes found her body somewhere and drug it there, IMO.

I know, I thought the same thing. It was the neighbor who lives 150 yards away from the culvert, who walks his dogs in that field every day, who made me think the moving a body scenario might be viable.
Does anyone know how long it takes for a body to smell strong enough for humans to smell? And would the body's size matter? (Sorry for being so graphic. NO disrespect meant to Sherin.)

There are so many variables such as temperature, moisture, air movement and more but here is a rough guideline of decomposition

I wonder how many times he has driven by this place after being released, to see if there is any activity, etc...even with a GPS tracker or surveillance footage of his vehicle in the area, it would appear as him just driving through the neighborhood enroute...

Considering he isnt allowed to be in contact with the victim's family, and his cars were taken and only the one Sini was driving was given back, I am guessing he hasn't been driving much, plus, if he was someone would have tracked where he is staying by now... I am guessing he is Richardson media's most wanted man and I have only heard them say they don't know where he is staying and that they only know he is in Dallas County...

Thank you for this. So 1 week would have been enough time for smell to occur, such that those dogs walking in that grassy area each day should have smelled something? From this article, I learned that the state of the body also determines smell. An intact body will take much longer to smell than a body with exposed insides. And dogs of course can smell things well before humans can. https://www.quora.com/How-long-does-it-take-for-a-DEAD-body-to-smell

My Aunt (maternal) and Uncle (paternal) died the same day in the middle of the summer (100 degrees.)
They were both inside but in different cities.
(Yes, this happens in my family. Maternal grandma and Paternal grandpa died the same day too a couple years earlier.)
Neither had air conditioning. Both natural causes.

My Aunt was found within 24 hours, no smell.
My Uncle was found 4 days later.... smell was horrendous.
His ex-wife's husband was former military. After a few days of no contact my cousin begged them to check on him.
He approached the front door, unlocked it, cracked it open and immediately shut it and called LE.
There is simply no mistaking that smell. Even with everything open for days to air out... it was still horrible.

My guess is that a smaller body would not smell for as long. That's just a guess though.

I look at her little face with her big trusting eyes, and a piece of my heart dies thinking that her light has been extinguished. There is no punishment too great for the one who took her life.

I linked this in one of the old threads, but it is really informative about have fast a cadaver dog can pick up a scent and for how long a body needs to be there etc. I originally looked this up when I saw that dogs were at the Mathews residence and then that the vehicles etc had been taken, assuming that perhaps the dogs didn't signal a trail but alerted to a body. Of course that was and is just a thought I had and has not been mentioned by LE or MSM at all, but this article definitely made me realize it would be more than possible, even if Sherin had only been dead a few short minutes in any of the locations...

On the topic of odor/decomp, I don't know how detectable things would be to a human nose. We don't know the ambient temperature of the inside of a partially underground 100 foot steel or cement tunnel... but regardless of what we don't know, what I can say with some degree of certainty is that The Body Farm exists exactly because of these questions. I am sure many of you know what it is, but in summary, people donate their bodies to science and their bodies are placed in different areas of the body farm, with different scenarios including buried, not buried, above ground, below, different levels of moisture, different times of year, sizes etc and everything is checked on and meticulously noted for the purpose of research to help ME's be better able to understand the process. IF I recall correctly, the founder of The Body Farm was a medical examiner or forensic pathologist of some sort who had been called in on the case of a discovered body. He had said that based on level of decomp that it had only been deceased a few days (maybe a few weeks, I am going by memory), and he later found out that this specific body had actually been deceased for over 100 years!!!! That is clearly a HUGE mistake and that is how this rather odd research area was created, as he didn't want anyone else to make that sort of mistake again.

This is 2 links to the same video of Sherin singing in what appears to be the church youth choir. (The resolution is poor but still very much worth the watch)
Very touching

If that is true, then Dad is innocent or he has accomplices. I cannot believe that he has been able to move a body around, while wearing a GPS monitor and probably being under surveillance.

Yes that would be extremely weird. Unless of course coyotes did move her. What are the odds of that though...

I'd go with accomplices. Perhaps he told them where he left her, maybe in the area of the college where potential evidence has been found, and they moved her to a place that would be closer to home and would make it seem more believable that she wandered off.

If coyotes were involved, I would think they would have reported that the 'scattered remains' of a child were found instead of a ' body'.

I want to reach in to that video and take her away from all what would be in her future. I knew this was coming but I'm hurt more than I could ever imagine :(

Guess we will find out soon.

I hope so. I am still worried that this might be one where there are no proven answers. Like so many other previous cases, like Hailey Dunn, and Little DeOrr, and Baby Lisa Irwin, .....endless list of names....:rose: :rose: :rose:

I worry about that too. But I'm more confident now that they have found little Sherin that answers will come.
