Questions that I have rolling around in my head:
1)If her body was indeed moved there, I wonder how much evidence was lost in the transition?
2) Why would she get moved to that location? It seems risky. It's wide open, very close to homes, etc.
3) Moving the body seems more calculated. My feeling through all of this was that this was unplanned and somebody snapped in the heat of the moment. Now I'm really not sure...

Oh Sherin, you poor, sweet girl.
If the culvert had been searched already, she might have been moved there thinking they LE wouldn't return to search again, JMO

Court now in session w/Hon. Cheryl Lee Shannon presiding. When she calls the Mathews case, we will bring updates. She has a full docket.

Holy smokes, I can't believe he had the nerve to go to the hearing. That's really... well, something else!

That's pretty much what I've thought since this first happened. Only thing that might be a variable is that he placed the body where the police found the bedding type material last week (the greenbelt) and an animal moved it. Or else he dumped her in the culvert and then went further on to dump the incriminating material? We will likely know more soon. Glad they found the poor child's body; I was afraid it had been left in that greenbelt and taken by an animal (we have loads of bobcats and coyotes around here- they could easily walk off with a small body that light- heck my cat weighs 25 lbs.) and that they may never find it all.

Poor, poor baby. Glad she's been found and is beyond any further pain.

I hope their case is called early.
I hope the court issues a stay away order if the mother gets custody.
I think Westly will be arrested soon. I hope bail is to high for him to make. I want him to stay in jail.

Hmm, I'd gotten the impression she was inside the pipe, still, when the search teams with dogs found her:

Other sources I've read have also stated that LE had to 'pull her out'...I'm just not convinced the rain washed her out. JMO, IMHO.

ETA: also, due to the fact that LE had been searching that field "since early morning"...just thinking the body was still hidden. But I could be wrong.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in what I meant, I was still having my morning coffee. I just meant it pushed her from say the middle of the pipe towards one end of it, not all the way out into the surrounding area. But I also think all that water moved her scent with it, and helped the dogs find her.

No comment....guess he realized how stupid he was sounding with his excuses and stories of what happened and has been advised to keep silent.

In what world does he live in that he thinks HIS presence would help in anyway by being there? He, after all, is the father who by his own admission thinks leaving small children alone in the middle of the night next to train tracks and out of sight is ok [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849] my eyes can literally not roll any further back.

I honestly feel that no judge will give them custody back when their other child was found deceased...just yesterday

I really think it is the wrong time to be asking for the bio child back when they have not long since found sherin. I would have thought a postponement would have been appropriate in the circumstances. I really hope she doesn't regain custody.

No one is going to court to plead for Sherin's return :(

Does anyone know the length of the culvert and what distance it covers? If it is very long in length someone would of had to of crawled in the centre of it to place Sherin in the centre, otherwise how would they be able to get into it that far? And was the culvert flooded to be able to push Sherin through it?

I so hope you are right. I was waiting on a postponement. This is awful. Who spoke up for Sherin? No one but strangers. Sherin's precious sister deserves better than to go back there.

I don't know if it flooded but I think it was grouchymom who said it only went from one side of the road to the other.

(Sorry if I got this wrong, grouchymom!)

Wesley Mathews wants time to get a civil attorney. Looks like this May be delayed.

He probably was told to show up at court by the lawyers. By not going, it looks like he is admitting to guilt
