Wesley Mathews wants time to get a civil attorney. Looks like this May be delayed.

This disgusts me. He is getting a civil attorney---WHY? To try and regain custody of the only child who survived his care?

I really think this will be like the Kaytlynn Cargill case, where the police were keeping what they knew quiet, but they knew fairly early on who the murderer was, they just wanted to make sure all their i's were dotted and their t's were crossed before making the arrest. I think once the paperwork from the ME is signed saying that cause of death was homicide/unnatural they will knocking on WM's door with a warrant, if not for murder, for negligent manslaughter.

Agreed. I think LE also hoped, with that ankle monitor, that he would tip his hand at some point. I hope that is the case.
I did research on ankle monitors, and I don't know what type his was. Given the bond agreement, he had to stay in the county, so it may have been one that alerted if he left the county, or came near his home or where his daughter is. But even with those, LE can track his movement.

Yes Im aware

Oh I know! I was just jumping off your post, which was a factual tweet, had nothing to do with you, was just responding to the information you provided from the tweet about supporters being the courtroom!

Another gruesome, but possible, thought. Dad may have put her body there as far as he could and then used something (stick, pole, huge wooden spoon hanging a wall) to further push her back. She was so tiny it wouldn't take much of a push. I know..such a morbid thought and I'm sorry for thinking it, but in a panic to hide her body, he would have resorted to anything. The culvert opening does look small. moo

My theory and it's just a theory. The girl could have been getting sicker recently because of her eating habits which could have frustrated mom and dad and drove them to frustration with the child. I think whatever happened could very well had been accidental turned fatal. I think mom and dad did punish the child at one point that day for not drinking milk. I don't however think the punishment involved the tree like dad claims. I think the tree he was referring to was one her body was left by. I told you guys awhile back and I stand by it that when dad made bail he could then move the body in attempt to throw police off further. I do not think the baby was left there originally after the incident I think it was sometime after that she was moved there. A resident behind where the body was discovered apparently claimed he heard two males over by where the body was discovered arguing and dropping f bombs. One of these men could had been dad or someone he had sent. I hope someone has security cameras.
He had a monitor on when he was released on bail. I don't think he moved her.

Sorry dont see Dad fitting.
Probably not but 1- someone else with narrower shoulders and hips could, and 2-we don't know how far in she was.

Some seem to be assuming she was in the center, or at least pretty far in, in order to explain her not being found for 2 weeks. However, we still don't know that she was even there for 2 weeks, how closely this culvert may have been examined previously, etc.

Maybe he was able to set her in there and push with one heave so she slid back in there?

Agreed, I was just posting the same kind of thing...

That would explain the wall hanging wooden spoons.... Well thought!

Or he put her on a plastic something, to slide poor Sherin's body.

It could also explain some of the random items collected from the home, like the "dried grass". This culvert appears to be pretty solid grass that is maintained, on both sides, meaning if someone had crawled down or in they could have grass and grass stains on clothing or brought it on shoes.

I think this is huge. There are different types of grass and the type LE took into evidence could have played a part in where to search. I hope there was unique substance in the grass/dirt that will match the boot, brake/gas pedal of the person who did this to this baby.

Justice for this sweet little angel.

I'm just not seeing the catch, still. Can you elaborate? :o

Here's where my mind is going with this...If Dad says a coyote made off with her, why would she end up inside a 2-foot diameter culvert pipe 2 wks after her death but not be there 1 week after her death? If the answer is that the coyote didn't put her into the pipe until the end of week #2, then shouldn't her remains have been found somewhere in the .6 mile open railroad area ('field') which was the logical trek up that way, and which was also searched week 1?

And if the logic is that the coyote only decided to take her remains to the culvert after her being dead for 2 weeks, well...hate to be graphic, but I'm still not sure *all* the remains would still have made it to the culvert, then. There still should be some iota of evidence her body had traveled that field--and the dogs should have picked up her scent.

We had gorgeous, sunny, 78-88 degree weather for two weeks up until Saturday night's rains. There is very little, if any vegetative cover on the route from the Tree behind Sunningdale to that culvert at Valley View and Bowser Rd. (See photos posted upthread, p. 6, post #79.)

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but if the father says he put her outside one night and weeks later she's found in the culvert is supports his story, especially if witnesses claim she was not in the culvert earlier during that time period. It's just my interpretation of the LolaMoon's comment:

All these people saying, "I searched the culvert and she wasn't there" and "I walk my dogs and they didn't alert to anything" is going to get this man off like Casey Anthony got off.

If people are claiming she was not there and they are sure of it then where was she during that time? I can see how this could create doubt the father murdered her and placed her in the culvert.

(This is not directed at anybody in particular, just a feeling about what might come...please nobody take offense.

I have a feeling it might get heated here soon with speculation about the mom, jmo.

We are here to discuss all aspects and I do value all ideas and thoughts. I just hope we can maintain this respectful dynamic that we have had here all this time from the beginning. It has been a really good group with caring, intelligent posts. Just hope it stays that way, moo.)

I don't understand it, either. If this is confirmed by LE to be true, then it can only help them put the puzzle pieces together. If it's not, then it won't show up as evidence in court, correct?

I think both statements are probably true, yes.

And I think we, the public, aren't going to know the details about the veracity of those accounts any time soon, just like we haven't been told whether or not LE previously searched there. They are sidestepping the question, (and I have no problem with that, personally, if it helps the investigation).

ETA: Maria G's fbk page just now confirms that LE DID first search the area Oct 7: https://www.facebook.com/MariaGuerre...2450572564393/

(I still think the witness accounts of their personal searches of the area will be kept under wraps due to the possibility of them testifying at a trial.)

I'm thinking he put her in there, sat on the ground, grass staining his pants, while pushing her in further with his legs.
