I think this is huge. There are different types of grass and the type LE took into evidence could have played a part in where to search. I hope there was unique substance in the grass/dirt that will match the boot, brake/gas pedal of the person who did this to this baby.

Justice for this sweet little angel.

I’m trying to find the actual list, and can’t find the handwritten one... the others don’t say grass. Anyone know where that list is?

From Maria Guerrero's video. https://www.facebook.com/MariaGuerreroNews/videos/1042450572564393/

Richardson PD confirmed the area had been searched before. They came back based on tips and developments in their research.

Was the body found literally inside the culvert? Yes, inside. Not visible from outside of the culvert.

Does LE believe she died in the culvert, or that she was placed there? They would not say, they will say more after it is confirmed to be Sherin or not.

I'm surprised they (the parents) aren't asking for a postponement of this hearing. Perhaps they will. It just seems that with yesterday's discovery - proof that the child died - that this is not the time to return another child to the home.

Let the facts get sorted out and then have the hearing. I'm sure the mom wants her bio daughter back home, but can they expect that to happen when there are so many questions around the death of Sherin? I don't think so!

Based on Maria Guerrera's live FB feed several days back, one possibility was to move the child to more familiar surroundings--as in with a family member (not Mom). I do believe the welfare of the sibling really deserves careful consideration. Can you imagine being taken from your family at age 4 and with the sparsest of explanations being take to live with another family you have never met before? The tough job facing the adults is to somehow balance the child's deep need for her mommy with the need to ensure her safety.

Another gruesome, but possible, thought. Dad may have put her body there as far as he could and then used something (stick, pole, huge wooden spoon hanging a wall) to further push her back. She was so tiny it wouldn't take much of a push. I know..such a morbid thought and I'm sorry for thinking it, but in a panic to hide her body, he would have resorted to anything. The culvert opening does look small. moo
I saw a picture of 2 large rocks inside culvert.
Not US media, so I won't share... Hopefully MSM will pick up photo!

Agreed. I think LE also hoped, with that ankle monitor, that he would tip his hand at some point. I hope that is the case.
I did research on ankle monitors, and I don't know what type his was. Given the bond agreement, he had to stay in the county, so it may have been one that alerted if he left the county, or came near his home or where his daughter is. But even with those, LE can track his movement.

I'd be curious to know what type of ankle monitor he had. Some have navigation and the persons whereabouts can be mapped but others simply go off if you leave the house. In the latter, permission is sometimes given to go to work, doctor appts, etc.,court, so there is basically no monitoring at those times. I hope he had GPS monitoring.

I don't know if it flooded but I think it was grouchymom who said it only went from one side of the road to the other.

(Sorry if I got this wrong, grouchymom!)
that is correct LOL a normal length of culvert pipe is 10 feet per lane of road.

I agree with this

Looking at the agent standing atop the culvert, it appears that the culvert is about the same height as he is from the bottom of his shoes to his knees. I am 5'3" and that length on me is 19", so probably more on him. Minimum width of the culvert would have to be at 20" IMO.

(Hah!, you used the same reasoning I did to guesstimate the size of the culvert. :) )

I think no matter what kind it was, there have been eyes on him.

She asked LE if the body was in anything, clothing or a bag. LE declined to comment at this time.
The area is very muddy, confirming the rain. Not sure if there was enough to move a body within that culvert though.
She gets down very close to the opening and looks in, for those who want to see that. There is moisture/dampness inside the culvert.
First day LE checked the area was the day she was reported missing, Oct. 7.

I'm just not seeing the catch, still. Can you elaborate? :o

Here's where my mind is going with this...If Dad says a coyote made off with her, why would she end up inside a 2-foot diameter culvert pipe 2 wks after her death but not be there 1 week after her death? If the answer is that the coyote didn't put her into the pipe until the end of week #2, then shouldn't her remains have been found somewhere in the .6 mile open railroad area ('field') which was the logical trek up that way, and which was also searched week 1?

And if the logic is that the coyote only decided to take her remains to the culvert after her being dead for 2 weeks, well...hate to be graphic, but I'm still not sure *all* the remains would still have made it to the culvert, then. There still should be some iota of evidence her body had traveled that field--and the dogs should have picked up her scent.

We had gorgeous, sunny, 78-88 degree weather for two weeks up until Saturday night's rains. There is very little, if any vegetative cover on the route from the Tree behind Sunningdale to that culvert at Valley View and Bowser Rd. (See photos posted upthread, p. 6, post #79.)

Here is how Jose Baez might try to spin it:

Strict but caring Father puts child on a Time Out, behind their home. Odd by US standards but within cultural norms of his childhood/hometown.

Crazy psycho neighbor kidnaps child after Father walks away. Keeps her captive for a few days, then after area is searched, he places her there, in effort to frame the father.

From the cbs DFW site someone linked above it sounds like WM is the one who asked for a continuation in the custody hearing. If that did happen, maybe there is a reason he doesn't want Sini to have the other child? Maybe he was doing like we've seen so many times before and punished her by killing one daughter and is now punishing her keeping the other away? Obviously there could be other reasons but right now I'm still considering Sini a victim, not just because of TOS but because LE hasn't yet said anything to indicate they are even remotely thinking otherwise IMO

Then I believe she was moved after this search there. Looking inside a culvert would be a no brainer in a search for a young child. It's a good place to try to hide something. So I do believe they looked in there at the beginning and she was not there at that time.

On his bond paperwork, it showed the conditions of his bond. There were boxes checked for things like no contact with victim or victim's family, and no drugs/alcohol. I thought it showed he was free to work. Anyone have that document saved?
