What??? I'm sure it's possible, but I doubt it, how do you choke on milk?Did he not assist her while she was choking? He had to be present to know she was choking right? His wife is a nurse, why not wake her in a panic that shes's choking?Milk in the garage at 3 a.m.? Seriously guy...just come out with the truth, the whole truth and no more of these unbelievable scenarios. At least unbelievable to me. moo

'''#BREAKING Arrest affidavit shows Wesley Mathews now says Sherin Mathews choked while drinking her milk in the garage at 3:00 a.m. He says "he no longer felt a pulse" and "removed the body from the home."'''

Why is she having milk at 3 a.m. in the garage?

Maybe he thinks that is a good excuse for when the cause of death comes back as suffocation.

Speculation, just my opinion.

This guy is as guilty as sin. Kid don't choke to death on milk. At least not in a garage with a parent who doesn't think to call 911. What an idiot.

That's good thinking on the suffocation angle. Maybe he tried to quiet her and went too far , then tried to get her to drink some milk to revive her.

He "physically assisted" Sherin in drinking her milk when she wouldn't listen to him???????

Yeah, something must had happened in that garage else it would be stupid to include it in his story.

Wonder what the four year old has to say about what typical punishments look like in that home. And where they occur.

So dad admits she was dead and admits some action of his? caused it. He'll have a hard time getting out of that one.
I wonder if the milk story is partially true and there was something in there , like a sedative, that he was trying to get down her throat.
Can a 3 yr old choke to DEATH on milk? I find it pretty unbelievable without something thicker than milk in her mouth.

Poor baby Sherin. I'm so sorry no one could save you.

ETA My guess would be she was taken to the garage so that nothing would wake the other sleeping child in the home. MOO.
Same here, milk is not a solid, that would have to be an awful lot of milk probably forced down, and it still doesn't seem like it would cause someone to stop breathing

When my son was 3, he choked. I didn't sit there checking for a pulse, I started back blows, the child's Heimlich maneuver and immediately called 911.
If Sherin choked on her milk, why didn't WM call for help?
I don't believe his story. JMO

His wife is a nurse so why didn't he yell out for her to come help while Sherin was choking. I call BS on his story.

Kinda sounds like drowned doesn't it? Then again WM has proven himself to be a liar so we don't know the truth.

You know, I might be in the minority but I think Mathews is covering for someone else.

He’s going to take the fall because 1) he actually loved Sherin and is heartbroken 2) misguided sense of responsibility 3) guilt for keeping her when others didn’t want her.. and for not stopping an escalating situation 4) he helped cover it up and now there’s no way out

Copping to an injury but not death suggests to me a story along the lines of "yeah, I hit her, but she was alive when I left," kind of thing. And may imply the involvement of another person who ignored the injuries, or compounded them--I don't know.

I really don't want another parent to be implicated. But trying to fit another person into the story (help with hiding the body? watching her while Dad did something or other?) gets really complex otherwise.

Just spit balling here, but dad's admission would be sufficient for charges and arrest pretty immediately. But what Dad says about someone else require more substantiation?

Sometimes guessing the horrible ending of a baby and then reading it in black and white are two different things.
I don't want to think about her last moments on earth.
Stepping back for a bit. Thank you to everyone here who loves this baby so much.

Not believable at all. Unbelievable that he thinks anyone would believe it. IMO

When Hannah was reading this she quoted WM as saying, “She wouldn’t listen to me.”

Right there this tells me WM’s temper flared. This was an act of force. I don’t believe for one second that she choked on her milk. Yes, there are swallow disorders that can affect young children. However, if she was at risk she could have easily been g or tube fed.

“She didn’t listen to me.”
Aka - so I snapped and murdered her.

I get it, SCHMAE.. Please take care.

So now the story seems to be that he force fed Sherin milk?

He "physically assisted" her in drinking her milk, out in the garage (why the garage). Does any of this make sense? Since he was already out in the garage, he loaded her in the car and disposed of her? What the heck!

We've seen it before. They have to lie to cover truths and lie to cover lies. He's making it up as he goes and trying to stay in front of what LE finds. Not going to work dude, but keep tightening that noose.

Is he trying to blame her for his temper? :gaah:
