JMHO but I think you can bet that the charging document only contains the information necessary to establish the requisite elements to arrest on the crime of Felony Injury, but it not the sum of everything he had to say.

Be patient.

I don't think anyone (here) would argue she should have a lawyer and should clearly know her rights. Questions WITH a lawyer present who can quickly step in on her behalf, is not too much to ask of a mother who's child died under her same roof. JMO, of course.

I completely agree, but is it possible that the lawyers have had access to her statements and they have been speaking with LE and at this time don't feel Sini is capable of making another statement, or going through more questioning? Plus, WM is in jail, how long until trial? They have plenty of time to question her to tie up any loose questions, when she is in a better state... JMO of course

But with WM's inconsistent stories where actually did Sherin die? It might not have even been in the garage? Where did the vehicle go far an hour between 4-5 am? When someone lies in such a dire case as this one who can believe anything they say? That's why evidence collection and processing is so important to build a case and determine what happened the best they can for a future Trial.

She was capable enough to show up to court for her bio daughter, though.

And also why questioning those who lived with him and knew him intimately, Is of utmost importance.

Did he routinely take her out to the garage to give her milk at 3am or was this the first time? The only other person who would know could clear that up.

Yes as she needs to if she is to have continuing contact with her remaining/surviving child.

SM has already been questioned by LE.

Why do so many people insist on trying to make the father into some kind of chivalrous hero? He admitted she died in his presence! He is facing life in prison. Why would anyone voluntarily admit to killing a child that, by all accounts, he loved? And why would anyone voluntarily spend the rest of his life in prison if anyone else had killed that beloved child? It makes no sense to me.

Ask yourself what you would do if your spouse killed your child. Would you let them walk free and care for your other child!? While you went to prison for the rest of your days?!

Not trying to make him chivalrous or a hero. But people from different cultures handle things differently. If another person he loves is guilty, he may feel the man would handle prison better and he may feel love/understanding for the guilty person. Yeah, far fetched to me also but it is possible. I see this as neither he nor the mom loved Sherin. Why else was she discarded like trash?
Again, it reminds me of Cindy Anthony covering for Casey Anthony. People do strange things.

I am sure the police need to talk to her to try to corroborate the husband's new story. They still have not charged him with murder. The Indian article clearly said SM was under investigation. In the past, we have always been allowed to begin discussing a person related to a victim once law enforcement had said this in mainstream media. The officer has been named, and he is the officer who has been named in other MSM stories. I await a mod to tell us it is okay to sleuth SM.

I really hope she has nothing to do with this terrible crime, for Sherin's sake and her other daughter's sake.

I am not sleuthing her. I only know of her what has been printed and msm. I have opinions, sure...but I'm not going to share anything unless or until we've been given the green light. I'm not sure LE would give more I formation to msm in India. I'm not sure if I trust the info in it.

Not since the weekend Sherin went "missing" and definitely not since WM gave an alternate story.

You bet, they know if he put her in that culvert that morning and what else he was doing during the hour he was missing and if he was washing his clothes. They have a pretty detailed statement that was not on the arrest warrant.

From my experience as a VICTIM I was interviewed several times over a short amount of time and the SHORTEST interview was 14 hours of questioning, with no food or water offered, in a small room with two chairs and a desk and a camera aimed at me. I was the victim, and it was clearly the same room they used for all interrogations. If Sini was with LE for even two or three "interviews" and they all lasted 8 or so hours, I can easily understand the extreme exhaustion and the mentality that she has better things to focus on, like coming up with a plan for her living arrangements, for her daughters living arrangements, her job, how much time can she take off work, will work want her back, will she get her things back from LE or have to come up with more money for that, is WM spending a small fortune or has he drained their accounts on bond and legal fees and so on... Can you imagine having you child in foster care and your other one dead and calling friends and family up and saying "yeah they found her body, it looks like my husband did it, would you mind taking my other child to raise possibly indefinitely?" I mean yes that's what family is for, but the entire family is grieving, it's asking someone to clear out a room, create a home for this child that meets the standards of CPS and to have CPS coming in and out whenever they please. Sini has a TON on her mind right now... if she has said everything she knows and LE is still wanting to interview her more and she has nothing to change or add, why would she go in and put herself through it all AGAIN?

ETA
Plus, she still has the civil suit against her for the car crash and I believe there is a court date for that soon. I think that the insurance company is representing them based on the reason for the continuance for the trial, but this is another financial burden she doesn't need AND it even if WM wasn't at fault for it (no charges were pressed), it would be easy at this point to see her blaming him for this extra stress as well...

Sorry for what you went through. I cannot imagine being interrogated by LE. It sounds frightening. But if I lost my daughter whom I was supposed to love, I would do whatever I could to clear the air and even offer to take a polygraph. Why do we believe WM when he has lied and left her in a culvert for days?!
i do believe having your attorney with you can help. So why aren't her attorneys suggesting she help LE?

Perhaps they were and that's why a new attorney had to be found.

Her attorney stated about that already. She probably will at some stage but not right now. Maybe there is a very good reason she can't atm, we don't know and its none of our business anyway.

OK--I believe her name appears as many as 4 times, misspelled once? Looks like a typo to me.

I guess they went with their rough draft.

SM has already been questioned by LE.
Not regarding details in the new story, which is nothing like the old story. Therefore, there are lots of unasked questions about their routine.

For all we know SM could of taken leave of absence from her job and gone home to her family for support at this terrible time in her life? I would want my parents & family support if something like that happened.
