If Sini does get custody back, does this mean she will have to divorce WM? We don't know how long WM is going to jail for. What if he is jailed for only a few months/years and is back with Sini?

No, even after conviction he would stil have all of his parental rights unless she (Sini) wanted to persue a termination of parental rights (which legally she could on the basis of abandonment) it sounds odd but legally a prison term may be considered as abandonment. If CPS/DSS/DCF Maintains custody the would persue a termination around the 1 year mark. CPS/DSS/DCF could make Sini agree to no contact with him as a condition of regaining custody.

Totally agree, esp in this case.

SADLY, many people have demonized Sini despite BOTH her and WM stating she was asleep. So they are reading these things with tunnel vision searching for anything that makes her look ever worse to them, to justify how they feel, where the actual facts are Sini did cooperate initially. Once her child was taken she retained a lawyer and cooperation because extremely limited in that she has refused further interviews and has only helped to speed up the process of ID'ing Sherin's body.

IMO this means that she or her attorneys are still in contact with LE even if it is very minimal. Otherwise, they would not have been able to reach her in order to have her come in and look at the photos and to help with dental records etc.

Speaking for myself at least, I can say that I strongly suspect these "garage feedings" had been going on for quite some time, so whether Sini was asleep that night doesn't matter much. There were most likely a lot of other nights she could have intervened and chose not to.

I am certain that will be a consideration. Beyond the issue of divorce is the larger issue of Sini's ability to protect their child from WM or other potential abusers in their future.
