GUILTY TX - Sherin Mathews, 3, Richardson, 7 Oct 2017 #9

  • #601
Defence ...
Asking if the Mathews were the only parents to miss appointments.
Asked if she had complimented the Mathews on her progress.

  • #602
Discharged in June, with instructions with the parents in case of future worries.
If they had missed a certain amount of appointments, would the be kicked off the programme? Yes.

  • #603
Witness excused.
All parties at the bar, cannot hear the discussion.

Jury instructions from the judge ...

Jury members need to contact a family member to bring their belongings for 3/4 days worth, bring to the courthouse, they will be staying together. Now on a break to carry out this task.

  • #605
WOWZWERS---The judge just told the jurors to call a family member to bring them 4 or 5 days of clothing---they are being sequestered starting NOW

  • #606
this is very weird, imo

  • #607
Uh isn't that something they know about BEFORE?
I could do a 5 day trial as long as I could go home at night. But I couldn't be sequestered. What if some of the jurors have young children without overnight childcare? This is not how it's supposed to work!

  • #608
Took a quick break and have missed the last few minutes of what the judge is saying :(

  • #609
I did not expect the jury to be sequestered like this. I wonder what came up to cause this to happen?

  • #610
Ok, judge back in. All rise!

  • #611
Or did she just leave? Unsure haha! Camera is not pointed correctly to see.

  • #612
WM back in the court, think things are about to proceed again.

  • #613
The judge told the spectators that only journalists could have their phones and laptops from now on.

  • #614
Dog Handler up on stand now.

  • #615
Next witness.
Canine handler. Registered nurse.

  • #616
Thank you for doing this, JB!!

  • #617
Dog handler in tears when saying that Stella (dog) was the one to find Sherin :(

  • #618
There were 5/6 human remains dogs looking for her.

  • #619
The dogs don't know if they are looking for old bones or newly dead bodies, they indicate on any human remains odours.

  • #620
Just describing the search and where they looked.
