That night, Sherin was tossing and turning in her crib. Asked her if she was hungry, and nods yes.

WM, SM and bio child all sleep in a bed together, Sherin is in a crib by herself.
WM takes her downstairs, Sherin goes to play while WM gets a fresh bottle of milk for her.
She stands by him and starts to drink her milk.
WM does some chores. Checks on Sherin, hasnt finished her milk "come on babe, we need to finsih your milk" She nods.
WM goes to play the piano for a while. Then he returns, she hasnt finished. He doesnty know how much she has had, they are always strict from the Dr about finsihing her milk.

Defense asks why he was concerned about her daily intake of milk & food. WM says she had to take a lot of calories, said clinic & therapist told him to do that. That milk is more important than food.

WM were concerned about further CPS involvement if they didnt get her to gain weight, so were strict with food/milk.

Gave her flavoured milk and Horlicks. Alternated them.

Sherin had a "spot" in the house.
Favourite place to stand and drink her milk.

Next step was a feeding tube. They didnt want her to have this because she would have to stay in for 30 days and would fall behind in her physical therapy and not be able to play with other kids.

He wanted to show Sherin his new lawnmower so took her into the garage. Made her comfortable in the garage. He gets sleepy, dozes off.

He wakes from his nap to see Sherin with the straw in her mouth but she is not swallowing it. He tells her to hurry up and drink it. He said it was louder then he expected and startled her. She started choking because of this. It wouldnt subside so he picked her up & rubbed her back. It was getting worse. He called out for "mamma". SHe was getting worse. He had to support her, so lay her on the floor to make sure she was ok. Her breathing was heavier. He called for Mamma. Shook Sherin to wake her from this episode.

Sherin becomes lifeless, he listens to her pulse, feels for it in her left wrist. He tries CPR.

Is asked why he didnt take her indoors into his NURSE wife?
He says he did not want to delay the CPR.

He is so calm and unemotional saying all this!

WM- I kept going. I was too shocked to get help.
