The Stephens County Sheriff's Office confirms a citizen was walking along the lake bed at the Mile-Long Bridge Wednesday and discovered the skeletal remains shortly before 2:30 p.m.

According to the Breckenridge American, remains found included parts of a skull, along with upper and lower limbs.

One neighbor thinks it could be a family lost after a flood in the 1970s. There is also an old cemetery nearby. Tarrant County is doing the autopsy and they are good. We should get an age in the next three months.

Relic skeletal remains of an adult and a juvenile were found at a location on Hubbard Creek Lake afternoon.

SO investigator said the incomplete skeletons found at the lake showed one juvenile over the age of six and one adult. It was not known if either was male or female.
