•LE state there were no signs of forced entry to his home; nothing was stolen; and there are no signs to indicate any type of violence or foul play
•his cell phone was found shortly after he disappeared, but his car and all his belongings were found at his home
•a witness identified Dean at a parking lot of a local business near Dean's home around the time he went missing. His mother does not believe the man on the video is her son.

To Note:
•was last seen by neighbors as he walked away from his home in the Dayton Cabins park on Aug. 15, 2019.
•recently divorced and moved into the Dayton Cabins park in June after living for a time with his parents in Sheldon
•His mother was notified of her son’s disappearance on Aug. 16 by a co-worker who came to her house to say that Dean hadn’t shown up for work on Aug. 15.
•His wallet was in his house
•A few days later, Dean’s phone was located by authorities near the Dayton High School football stadium.
•Sept 14, Texas EquuSearch volunteers combed areas
•3 days later, Tropical Storm Imelda pushed through the area, dropping heavy rains.

According to his mother there are some conflicting stories.

Some of the information she has learned from authorities, neighbors and friends of Dean’s are conflicting stories that say he was seen walking out of his home, barefooted, and through a field behind the house.
Other stories say that Dean was at a neighbor’s house and seemed disoriented as he walked out of the person’s house.

Also-
Other curious details about Dean’s disappearance, she said, is the fact that his car key – the only key he had for it – was found in the glove box of his locked vehicle.

ETA: can anyone figure out where the Dayton Cabins are? I’ve tried google and Facebook and I’m not finding anything definitive. I know where the high school is (I’m in Dayton almost every weekend) but not sure about these cabins. I can drive by and get a feel for where he left versus where his phone was found. I can tell you there is a lot of undeveloped areas around Dayton, but the town is expected to grow like crazy with the new beltway going in.

I’ve got an All in one RV Park, on the correct side of town to reach high school on foot but wasn’t sure if that was it.

I also found this.


He was last seen in his trailer park in the evening of August 15, 2019. Steven’s wallet/debit card and all his belongings were inside his residence and his car was parked in his parking spot. His phone was located by police in the grass behind a store across the street from where he lives.

There are lots of mobile parks which are different than RV parks and even different than the cabin rentals I’ve seen in other locations around here.
Although the RV and cabins seem to go together.

His cell phone was found six days later behind the Raceway gas station.
Since this is a newer article, I assume they’ve learned since that his phone wasn’t found by a school.

The Day of Remembrance will take place at 4 p.m. in the empty lot where her son was last seen walking. The address is 704 US 90 W in Dayton.

If it’s the All in one RV Park it’s a 2.2 mile drive to the High School. Less if you walk it as the crow flies. There is so much land out there, it would be like finding a needle in a haystack, especially if he was really disoriented and wandering.

The Day of Remembrance will take place at 4 p.m. in the empty lot where her son was last seen walking. The address is 704 US 90 W in Dayton.

So that’s more by the football stadium and the elementary school, even closer to the All in one RV, heading East along 90 if that was really his starting point. He would have had to go through town basically if he continued straight or backtracked if he wanted to take 146 to I-10.
Still so much open land, fields and undeveloped land at this point.
