GUILTY TX - Susan Loper, 40, Plano, 19 April 2011

Going on nothing but local's suspicions, (comments on MSM sites linked earlier on this thread) the clues we have about the person who is rumored to possibly be involved :

An ex-boyfriend
From Frisco
Businessman or sports figure, (possibly Tx Rngrs Pro baseball)
Well-known
May have fled to Abilene

Anyone else have a clue?

To be perfectly clear, this person would not be an official suspect, just a public figure who is rumored to be worth looking at, so we can't sleuth for personal details.

Is it okay to guess who this public person might be? I'll alert on my own post so a mod can decide. Cross your fingers!

I grew up in this area, and I know boogie men live everywhere, but when I read thread this the other night I HONESTLY didn't think the outcome would be this grim.

RIP Susan. May your attacker(s) be caught quick so you can guide over your child.

This one really struck home, in more ways than one. So sorry for the loss of the many people on the forum that knew her.

Where is everyone getting the idea this guy is a professional baseball player?
Is is because someone said they were talking to the Texas Rangers? If that is the case....LE is talking to our STATE Police, not the Baseball Team.

LE brings in the Texas Rangers to investigate a case along with the State Highway Patrol and sometimes FBI. I think that is what the article was talking about instead of the baseball team. JMO... I could be wrong, but I don't think LE would tell they were talking to the Baseball Team when they will not even tell us the POI's name.

Plano police are asking for help finding a vehicle spotted in the area where a slain Frisco woman’s SUV was abandoned in North Dallas.

A black 2004 Cadillac Escalade was seen in the 2500 block of Preston Road at the same Plano apartment complex where Susan Loper’s white Toyota Rav4 was found.

Police offered no other information about the suspect vehicle or who might be driving it.

Officers are distributing fliers in the neighborhood where the Cadillac was seen between 3 and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Loper was found dead Wednesday in a wooded area near the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco. The single mother was reported missing a day earlier after missing several appointments at the Gleneagles Country Club fitness facility in Plano.
The Collin County medical examiner’s office has declined to release any information, including Loper’s cause of death. They referred questions to Plano police, who have declined to answer specific questions.

Anyone with information about the Cadillac or Loper’s slaying is asked to call Plano police at 972-941-2148.

I have been following this case since I live in the area.
They have identified the ex-boyfriends name that drives the black escalade.

It is public knowledge; the Plano PD just held a presser on Fox. He is 48 and lives in Frisco. Several police agencies are looking for him.

It is now being reported that he got into a scuffle with a park ranger and fell 80 feet into the Grand Canyon. Workers are trying to rescue him.

Just heard on local Fox he's been arrested in AZ; no mention of a fall into the Canyon.

Some news outlets say 80 feet, now it is 25 or so. GLAD he is in custody!

He's probably guilty, IMO, otherwise he wouldn't have been apprehended two states away. I think he split right after he dumped her body.

I know from personal experience it takes a full day to drive from Dallas to Albuquerque, and they caught up with him in Arizona. They just said on Fox news that he'd been panhandling in the Canyon National Park, and suspicious people contacted the Park Rangers and he refused to show ID and that's when the altercation took place. The POI apparently jumped over a guard rail and that's how he fell.
