I wouldn't have minded if he fell all the way down into the canyon, in a way...save the people a lot of money, her family the grief of a trail. The only decent thing he could do now, but they so seldom do, is plead guilty.

He was probably panhandling to get money for gas for that Escalade. He was on the run and had run out of cash would be my guess.

It is now being reported that he got into a scuffle with a park ranger and fell 80 feet into the Grand Canyon. Workers are trying to rescue him.

Let him rot and the coyotes have him!

IMO, I'm glad he survived the fall.... Everyone is correct, it would save the taxpayers $$ etc in the longrun, but wow, what if he would have died. So many questions left unanswered. Now hopefully we can know a motive behind this if he is truly guilty... I would say jumping off a ledge of the Grand Canyon is a pretty good sign he is involved. Anyone heard any more info the Saturday morning or afternoon???

His facebook page is under "Rance Black". There are comments on local north texas news sites that he was unemployed and going to night school to finish up his degree/certification from Sanford Brown college. Never married, no children. Unemployed. Night School.

The victim had not had a relationship with him for supposedly a year and a half, but friends say that she may have recently gotten back in contact with him to ask questions/consult with him about the business end of things regarding her new career move to open up her own Pilates studio.

Just wanted to add that this information is gleaned from the web and news sources. I have no "insider info", and all speculation is to be taken as such.

I would be interested to hear what people who know him have to say about the situation.

Terrance Black's Facebook page is interesting, just because he seems to have been trying to present a very Christian persona yet his profile pic is of him with his arm around some chick who is cut out of the picture and he just strikes me as a partier or wanna-be playboy type.

I would bet that he has done some stalker-like behavior in the past. I doubt he has killed before.

I have worked with guys before who were the overly-friendly type. You know the guy who says "you want to grab some lunch?", and you think , "sure, we both have to eat, why not?", but next thing you know he assumes you are dating him and everywhere you go, he's there! Creepy!

Park Rangers received reports that a man was panhandling on a summit on the South Rim. When they attempted to make contact, he refused to identify himself and jumped over the edge.

This was a killing of rage. I wonder what happened between them to set him off in such a violent way? According to the news I've read, he does not have a prior record.

Search Warrant Details

The responding police officer determined a struggle had taken place, and observed what appeared to be blood on the floor and a live bullet as well.
Additional blood was found in two additional areas outside the building.
Blood was next to the curb on the driveway leading to the front door.

What a creep! I'm sorry he survived his jump into the Grand Canyon.

Gotta tell ya, a friend of mine was telling me today about her daughter's new boyfriend and I was thinking about this loser the whole time. They're only in college, but this boy sounded a bit over-the-top to me. I didn't mention it, but I will be keeping an eye on her!

Thanks Surfie. I hope he had some bad injuries from that fall. But we don't have an update on that other that he is still in the hospital?
