TX - Teen burns his baby in Microwave, Houston

What? Don't everybody have sex in the interrogation room after putting their child in a microwave. The mom is not mentally ill, correct? So, what? She wanted to have sex with the man who burned her child? Just checking to see if I read that correctly. That new beau, Alfredo must be one lucky man.

in the interrogation room, on a train, in the rain, in a box with a fox, here there or anywhere....just minus the baby in a microwave.

This entire story makes no sense to me. I see it flying around my head, I'm batting at it trying to get it, but it's lost on me.

Dad says he felt weird sensation before microwaving baby (yeah, that was probably your conscience speaking, you freaking idiot)

Mauldin described how he tossed his daughter from one bed to another in a motel room on Seawall Boulevard after checking in with his family shortly after midnight on May 10 last year.
He told Johnson that after his wife, Eva, left the room, he punched his daughter in the groin, slapping his fist into his palm to show how much force he used. He then put Anna Murphy into the motel room safe, then the refrigerator before placing her in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
Mauldin said he finally came to his senses and realized what he was doing. "When I got control over my body, I freaked out," he told Johnson. "I wouldn't do that."
He then says that most people would think he is crazy. (more craziness at link)

Please, please let me put him in the microwave oven.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how gentle he was:
He said he gently folded her legs to get her in the oven and that she was facing him.

I'll be gentle with him, I promise.

So, the mother and wife tried to have him involuntarily commited a month prior to him putting his baby in a microwave? O.K. so why'd they leave him alone with the baby if they believed he was so off? The DA says because he had another woman. You want to commit a person why would you just leave them alone with a baby?

Oh gosh, she's going to be on a roll tonight with this one!

That article gives the external injuries but there were probably many internal injuries too since it was a microwave which can penetrate to the inside. I hope he is at least locked up for life. Anyone who could even think of doing something like this is too dangerous to be out in society. May this little girl find someone who will love and cherish her. Her own father should have.

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Jurors have found a father guilty of injury to a child after he put his baby in a microwave.
Jurors deliberated for about an hour this morning before announcing they have reached a verdict in the trial of Joshua Mauldin, 20, accused of severely burning his daughter by stuffing her in a Galveston hotel microwave when she was just two months old.
Mauldin was charged with felony injury to a child and faces up to life in prison if convicted. He pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, which the state defines as a severe mental illness that prevents someone who is committing a crime from knowing that it is wrong.
The jury could have found him guilty, not guilty or not guilty by reason of insanity. They chose guilty of injury to a child. They also determined the microwave to be a deadly weapon. The punishment phase was set to begin immediately.

Everyone chant with me:
LIFE IN PRISON LIFE IN PRISON LIFE IN PRISON

Yay for this jury that they saw the light. Who knows what internal damages have been done to this child? :(

What ever happended to "Eye for an eye"? Put this dirty SOB in a microwave. Let him endure the pain that he inflicted on that precious little angel.

Life in prison is just a waste of taxpayers money.

Thank you for the update Taxi Mom. How heartbreaking is that foster mom's impact statement. He gets 25 and the baby screams daily when they have to change the dressing on them burns.

Filly, I say they post the pics of her like wallpaper all over his cell, and pipe in her screams through the PA system directly to his room all day long.

Probably wouldn't faze that guy. He was mad he was in a loveless marriage so he did that to that baby. His mom Joanie is doing alot of crying which well she's his mom. However, she's saying he is mentally ill and had been. I want to know then why she left that baby alone with him while her and DIL went wherever they went. I mean what was that important?
