I have to say this - not only could I see my own kids in the sonogram, I could see family resemblances. And, they turned out to be true! My son looks just another relative and he has looked that way since being in the womb.

I know the baby sonogram analogy is taking hold here to describe not being able to see images, but some of us can see babies in sonograms in great detail! :)

Having said that, the mention upthread of seeing a man in the car wearing a straw hat sent me into giggles. Have we discovered the Straw Hat Gun-Stealing Gang of Texas?

:)

Fwiw I can see a baby in a sonogram but there is no way the SP is depicted in that altered photo.

Is there any evidence of police corruption affecting this case?

Not to my knowledge but we probably wouldn't know that at this juncture or maybe never. Just reading through the threads will reveal what questions/ contemplations some posters have in regard to the investigation. Quickly clearing the crime scene seems to raise concerns, and the fact perp is on video for aprox 30 minutes but nearly 9 months later still no arrests. I personally think LE wants to solve this case and is working diligently to do just that. I hope and pray that is true!

I have mentioned this before but amongst all the other things going on with the Altima in the video is what happens when the Altima comes to a stop under the light standard in the parking lot. No brake lights! At some point prior, the vehicle appears like it was no longer under power. It is very possible that the driver shut the car off.

I have built an 18 second video of the sequence where the Altima parks using 540 frames ripped from the SWFA Youtube video where you can see this. You will see some braking during the video, however you will not see braking at the time the car comes to a stop. Watch the brake lights. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

This occurs between 3:03 and 3:21 in the SWFA video, if you prefer to watch that.

The link for downloading the 18 second video from my google drive here (3.7MB):
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx0LL2gY_AorLWlleDlnYTBOOFE

I have a zip file of the 540 individual frames available on my google drive here (573.7 MB so it is huge):
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx0LL2gY_AorTnhjLXJfcll3RUk

And I have a folder on my google drive with the 540 individual frames available here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx0LL2gY_AorOWppcXFuUXMtMWc

And finally I have a copy of the whole SWFA video from Youtube available on my google drive as well here (123.4 MB so it is large):

I've circled the subject that I believe is a woman with dark hair driving the vehicle. Maybe I've been looking at it too long but It seems clear to me from the close up, side view and the second photo of the car under the lamp post with the inside of the car briefly lit up. It is my belief that a woman drove the car and at least one other individual was in the car to act out the murder. I totally believe the car is related to the crime, hence the reason the police put out the still shot and later on we see the second release of the surveillance video from the gun shop. I do enjoy reading everyone's thoughts on this challenging case....

pic on right does look like a passenger, this is the 1st pic ive seen that appeared to have 2 ppl in the car, surely cops have better software to clear up the images. The pic I got of the plate just didnt have enough data. wonder if cops have better ways to enhance images

The pic (2nd one "under the lamp post" CLEARLY appears that a taller (what appears to me a male - hairline) is riding in the passenger seat. Great sleuthing!

Woe is me! I am ten pages behind and trying to catch up. Dropped in yesterday thinking I would find a closed thread!

I have been following this case from the beginning but there is something I am not clear on. What exactly was going on with the external cameras at the church that night? I think I recall that LE said they had not been tampered with and they were simply not operating. But, do we have any more info. about that?

I am not sure if the Altima is involved, but I am leaning towards yes. Could the driver have dropped someone off at some point and been hanging around for the pick up or to keep an eye out for a response by LE? What alternative method of communication, other than cell phones, could be used - walkie talkies? I mean, someone dropped off well ahead of the time of the murder and not necessarily the murderer but an accomplice dropped off for some other purpose? Possibly someone who knows a lot about cameras? I don't know how big this circle of perps could be but maybe it took more than one or even two to pull this murder off.

My only strong opinion is that the SP in the frame in which she is looking toward or at the camera is a she.

Hmmm, maybe the reason the seat is so far back is the man was originally driving but after he breached the church doors, the woman was driving for a quick getaway should there have been silent or loud alarms.

I certainly see the car continue to roll forward after the lights are turned off.

Interesting that the Altima comes to a stop in full view of the gun store's vidcam.

SWFA has cameras all over the exterior, on all four sides, plus on every light pole in the parking lot.

There is nowhere that the Altima could have stopped that it wouldn't have been in full view of a camera.

just my crazy thoughts on the Altima - I don't believe it's related to MB case. I think it might be the same guys that robbed the gun store in Waxahachie last July. I got an enlarged version of the initial Altima pic that police released and to me - it appears the driver is an African American with a small shaved head wearing some sort of straw hat and there is an African American male in the backseat behind him. And it appears there is also another male in the front passenger seat and in the back passenger seat. I couldn't get clear enough images of the passenger seat occupants (front/back) to post but I previously posed the driver side photo...posting here again, along with a link on the mugshots of the Waxahachie men. A couple of them appear to resemble the vehicle occupants in my opinion.

Don't you think that one of the Waxahatchie suspects would have spilled his guts or somehow been linked back to SWFA by now, if such a link existed?

Do you really mean the brake lights, or are you referring to the tail lights?

The tail lights are going to be lit whenever the headlights are on. The brake lights are going to be on only when the ignition is on and the brake pedal pressed.

You can see at the beginning of the video that as soon as the Altima starts the turn into the driveway, everything goes dark. This is because the headlights/ tail lights have either gone off or been turned off and the brakes are no longer pressed. Then as he starts to go to the right at the end of the driveway, you see the brake lights light up. But that is just the brake lights at that point; headlights and tail lights remain dark for the time being.

At the point the Altima parks under the light pole, everything does go dark. But that doesn't mean the engine is shut off. It just means the brakes are no longer pressed (car in Park) and the headlights/tail lights are not on. So the car might be running with lights off, or shut off, or the ignition could be in the On position.

The car is still moving after the last time you see the brake lights before the vehicle is in park (if it ever was put in park). But then comes to a complete stop and no brake lights come on. You might have to slow it down or go frame by frame to see what I mean.

MB's personal transformation in life still inspires me to get in better physical shape. As some may remember, I posted of that inspiration and how I started working out with a trainer at a time when lifting a gallon of milk was becoming difficult for me and I had to use a cart to get the dog chow into the house from the car. I kept at it, thinking of MB when I really wanted to quit. I am still going, twice a week for my workout. I still hate it, but I do it anyway.

Not only do I feel better, have more strength and stamina but my cholesterol dropped 90 points back into the safe zone, my blood sugar fell out of the pre-diabetic range and I no longer need pharmaceuticals to remedy these issues. I sleep better and no longer have aches or pain that requires so much as an aspirin.

Plus, I no longer need a housekeeper. I can handle the manual labor without hurting myself unlike before. I would say it is a miracle but it is really just a blessing from above and I now have $5,200 more per year in my pocket so I can take a trip or splurge on a purchase once in a while.

Am I 45 years old again? No, that mark passed over 2 decades ago but I am a much healthier retiree.

Thank you MB. You are still my inspiration.

I urge you all to get inspired by MB's life transformation story rather than dwell on her horrible murder. I think she would prefer it that way.

RBBM

Thank you, TeaTime, for this uplifting post. MB was and is an inspiration to many people, young and old. It is wonderful that you have received the benefit of that influence to achieve strides by improving your physical health. Kudos!

Since this is a true crime forum and not an exercise forum, many of us will continue to focus on her death because we want Justice for Missy's untimely demise at the hands of a SP who ambushed and violently ended her life.

Bountiful blessings to you, TeaTime. Again, thank you for the inspirational words.

Manual transmission????

No, the Altima 4-door sedan no longer had a manual transmission option for 2010 and newer models.

"Whereas the sportier Altima coupe features the same smooth 175-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and robust 270-hp, 3.5-liter V-6, along with the choice of a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission with six manually selectable ratios, the Altima sedan drops the available manual for 2010 and soldiers on armed only with the CVT."
