I've circled the subject that I believe is a woman with dark hair driving the vehicle. Maybe I've been looking at it too long but It seems clear to me from the close up, side view and the second photo of the car under the lamp post with the inside of the car briefly lit up. It is my belief that a woman drove the car and at least one other individual was in the car to act out the murder. I totally believe the car is related to the crime, hence the reason the police put out the still shot and later on we see the second release of the surveillance video from the gun shop. I do enjoy reading everyone's thoughts on this challenging case....
Could the passenger's window be down or is that just the lighting making it appear that way?

in 1985 my friend who lived in the older part of town across from a ballpark had her house robbed of small appliances and jewlery. They broke the glass to the front door to get in. Within a week the MPD had gone to Brownsville Texas where they caught the robber. MPD made the criminal show them who he sold her TV too and where he hocked her jewlery. Turns out the cops felt her robbery was similar to the police chief's robbery that had occurred the year before ( what an idiot to rob the police chief's house lol ). They were very diligent to remember the past crimes and even go to the border and find this crook. We were very impressed with MPD's work at least back then. The robber was a drug addict well known to the cops. We were and still are very proud of our police.

How many of those LE are still on the job 32 years later?

Manual transmission????

According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2010-2012 Nissan Altima was only available with CVT (automatic transmission, no clutch).

https://www.kbb.com/nissan/altima/2010/
https://www.kbb.com/nissan/altima/2011/
https://www.kbb.com/nissan/altima/2012/
"Nissan's Xtronic CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission), is the only transmission choice. "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Altima
Wikipedia claims "A 6-speed manual is standard, and a continuously variable transmission replaced the traditional automatic as the optional transmission."

I would trust Kelley before Wikipedia. And Wikipedia writers may not distinguish between what was available outside the US, like in Japan or Europe where manual transmissions may be preferred.

The pic (2nd one "under the lamp post" CLEARLY appears that a taller (what appears to me a male - hairline) is riding in the passenger seat. Great sleuthing!

Yes, I see a passenger in the front seat too! To me it looks like that passenger has a shaved head. Anyone else see that?

I'm 5'8" and if my seat was back that far I couldn't even tap the pedals.
I'm 5'2" and my male friend is 6'. When I drive his car my feet are no where near the gas pedal without moving the seat forward. The only way to reach the pedal without adjusting the seat would be to sit on edge of seat without using seatbelt.

I meant here at WebSleuths.

Jethro, I don't know how you do the frame by frame, but I appreciate it! Can you do it when the car is parking? I wonder if the overhead light would reflect too much off the car to be of benefit, or if it would shine light into the car.

Also, what's your thoughts on the red, and whatever color areas seen in the section of video you did frame by frame? I wonder if it could be reflection from a sign on the building? Like the the red could be a light reflection from an EXIT sign on the building. Is there anyway to know if there are other signs in the windows at the gun store? I know some stores have those tube lights and such as advertising, or saying OPEN or CLOSED, etc. So I do wonder if those colored areas are just reflections on the windshield or car windows from signs.

THANKS!

I'm confused ...the article about the video of the car states the following:

http://www.fox4news.com/news/228808414-story

"Investigators say they have yet to ID the car or its driver but do not think it’s tied to Missy’s murder."
That statement in itself is amazing, isn't it? LE saying they have no clue who the driver is but state they're not involved with murder.......really?

get a Ford F 150 truck, it has electric pedal adjustments, and I hate it when my hubby has been driving it, the seat is so forward and the pedals rolled up almost to the seat LOL he has short little legs and I have real long legs, we laugh and bicker about that all the time lol

I have to say this - not only could I see my own kids in the sonogram, I could see family resemblances. And, they turned out to be true! My son looks just another relative and he has looked that way since being in the womb.

:)

:)

My niece's sonogram showed a little boy with his daddy's face. And guess what, he still looks like his daddy! I cried when I saw it.

Two pics taken in succession from SWFA video:

Do I see 2 peeps in the front seat?

Lots of stuff going on with that vehicle. Check out the video (frames) marker 1:00 to 1:01 - slow speed .25 - for example. Something comes flying on the dashboard. From another person?

Was that the Midlothian Police Officer who was shot after going undercover at the high school? I watched that story on ID. There was a female's home that was burglarized involved in the story of the narc who was shot and killed, Officer George Raffield. A Dallas PO's son was one of the two young men convicted of Raffield's death.

yep, in my opinion I don't believe the Nissan is involved...I'm just confused why posters are giving it so much attention here when police have stated they do not think it was related to MB murder...lol
I look at it this way; LE would not ever put out a statement saying that the driver of the car could possibly be involved in a brutal murder but could the driver please contact them. If course LE is going to say the driver isn't suspect.

Not at all. Here's from a comment to the Brainscratch SWFA surveillance video discussion:

"Are we sure that's even a Texas license plate?! My eyes are seeing a California license plate. Maybe it's just cuz it's blurry, or it's what I'm used to seeing but I swear I see our California license plate in that image! We have "California" at the top in red cursive with the "F" (in big cursive) kind of dipping down and that's what my eyes are seeing here. Also, the plate looks specialized and it almost looks like it says "LA" (with the "A" being in the shape of something) "ties". I might be way off, but it really looks like a Cali plate with "LA Ties" or some other similar word that starts with a T."

At about 15:55 he starts talking the license plate. And to me it does not look like a Texas plate. I can see it possible being California, or New - --something, or Pure Michigan. The 2nd character he's speaking about looks like it could be part a Wyoming plate. In other words I don't have a clue.

Can someone with magical zooming powers give us a better look and tell us the state?

Maybe posters are giving much attention to the Altima because many of us have followed many cases where LE has stated the very same statement right up to the arrest, when they arrest the same person who wasn't a "suspect", until the arrest.

Something just occurred to me.
What If the license plates are different?
Meaning, what if the back does not match the front?
I don't think its unheard of for people involved in crimes to switch plates or use stolen plates, which would possibly be a reason why the LEO haven't been able to identify this vehicle.
