At about 15:55 he starts talking the license plate. And to me it does not look like a Texas plate. I can see it possible being California, or New - --something, or Pure Michigan. The 2nd character he's speaking about looks like it could be part a Wyoming plate. In other words I don't have a clue.

Can someone with magical zooming powers give us a better look and tell us the state?

Texas and California license plates are both the same number (seven) of black characters on a white background. So with all due respect, unless you can read the state name on the plate, you can not determine if it's a Texas or a California plate. If you can read the state name, then you should be able to read the plate number. Wyoming license plates have a color image on the background.

Another thing the SP in the church and the Altima in the parking lot have in common, is that someone knows something. Someone recognized that walk. Someone recognized that car. Why is there silence? And why aren't the family and LE creating an uproar about it?

We knew it was going to happen. We've all lost our minds over this case. 9 months was the breaking point. ;)

I'm referring to the state name at the very top of the plate not the number of characters in the license number. The Brain Scratch gentleman has manipulated the video to brighten and add contrast. So for whatever reason the top of the tag appears clearer to ME than the plate number. It appears to me that there is more characters in the state name then 5.

I was looking to see if I could figure out the state which is why I asked if someone could zoom in a bit more on the tag.

In his discussion of the tag he believes the 2nd character in the plate number maybe a picture of some sort. The closest thing I see to a picture being the 2nd character on a plate is a version of the WY plate.

Not to my knowledge but we probably wouldn't know that at this juncture or maybe never. Just reading through the threads will reveal what questions/ contemplations some posters have in regard to the investigation. Quickly clearing the crime scene seems to raise concerns, and the fact perp is on video for aprox 30 minutes but nearly 9 months later still no arrests. I personally think LE wants to solve this case and is working diligently to do just that. I hope and pray that is true!

I'm sticking to the facts of this case and not going down the road of LE corruption until evidence points in that direction. JMO

NIN, I guess you put the black bar horizontally to show the letter caps and bottoms. I took the Altima image and compacted SP center image into Paint at 800% to check the pixelation, too. The letter 'P' is the same, and has the same most prominent, brightest pixels, vertically up the long back of the 'P' and the short upper right part of 'P'. You are amazing!
I'm wondering if the lettering is on a jacket of a passenger who is seated in passenger's seat who is turned looking out passenger window? This would make a lot of sense.

That statement in itself is amazing, isn't it? LE saying they have no clue who the driver is but state they're not involved with murder.......really?

But look at it from the DA's position. Say they finally locate the murderer(s) and he/she/they are not connected to the Altima at all. If the police come out and say it is related to the murder now, the defense can use that to say the police screwed up and got the wrong person. The defense would spend the entire trial harping on the mysterious Altima that possibly had nothing to do with the case and if it sways even one juror, they'd get at least a mistrial.

Do you really mean the brake lights, or are you referring to the tail lights?

The tail lights are going to be lit whenever the headlights are on. The brake lights are going to be on only when the ignition is on and the brake pedal pressed.

You can see at the beginning of the video that as soon as the Altima starts the turn into the driveway, everything goes dark. This is because the headlights/ tail lights have either gone off or been turned off and the brakes are no longer pressed. Then as he starts to go to the right at the end of the driveway, you see the brake lights light up. But that is just the brake lights at that point; headlights and tail lights remain dark for the time being.

At the point the Altima parks under the light pole, everything does go dark. But that doesn't mean the engine is shut off. It just means the brakes are no longer pressed (car in Park) and the headlights/tail lights are not on. So the car might be running with lights off, or shut off, or the ignition could be in the On position.

Every car I have driven the brake lights will come on regardless of the ignition position.

I know at least one other person was referring to the fact that they believed the license plate had cursive at the top, which apparently is unique to California.

For real! The only thing I can say with certainty is that there is a driver in the Altima!

The driver knows police would like to speak to them by now, imo (unless the driver was passing through town)
Also, why would the driver turn headlights off as soon as s/he turned into the SWFA lot? I can't think of any good reason unless something sketchy happening.

It truly is the one thing that makes me think it's someone who knew the SWFA had a video camera focused on cars entering and exiting. That makes me think they must have scoped out SWFA just like they scoped the church out. Who would know the church's surveillance is not working? Who would know SWFA has a camera at the entrance/exit?

I'm betting this vehicle has visited SWFA before, and likely in the days before. If they'd put their last 2 weeks preceding the murder online, I'm betting we could find people to look through it for a silver Altima and see if we can get a better description and possibly a license #.

Unless it's a rental car or borrowed car.

I am also thinking that the perp scoped out the locations ahead of time, but not necessarily in that particular car.
