Except the seat wasnt reclined... it was back very far, suggesting the perp had his disguise on, and needed the extra leg room

Sometimes when I get into a vehicle that my husband has been in (6'2"), and I don' t have far to go, I (5'4) will just leave the seat where it is and just sit closer to the edge. Could this shorter person have dropped someone off and switched places with driver?

BBM

Every car I have driven the brake lights will come on regardless of the ignition position.

I would have bet anything that I was right and you were wrong on this. But I went out to the car to just be sure. You're right! How did I not know this???

Is the dog wearing a balaclava, helmet and police jacket, by chance? ;)

This reminds me of months ago, when we first saw the video of SP, someone speculated he or she was a ballerina with a wooden leg! So, here we go again!

:hills:

It is unknown if the car is related to the crime. I think it's unfair to call LE liars because some 'imagine' they see the driver dressed in swat uniform.

When a picture has been zoomed in as much as it has been here, the imagine becomes distorted.

"fibbed just slightly" is FAR from calling someone a liar.

Not at all. Here's from a comment to the Brainscratch SWFA surveillance video discussion:

"Are we sure that's even a Texas license plate?! My eyes are seeing a California license plate. Maybe it's just cuz it's blurry, or it's what I'm used to seeing but I swear I see our California license plate in that image! We have "California" at the top in red cursive with the "F" (in big cursive) kind of dipping down and that's what my eyes are seeing here. Also, the plate looks specialized and it almost looks like it says "LA" (with the "A" being in the shape of something) "ties". I might be way off, but it really looks like a Cali plate with "LA Ties" or some other similar word that starts with a T."

I love that you are referencing Brain Scratch. I did not know they were "approved" on WS. Thanks!

Not mine. This SP had information about or had physically visited the church previous to the attacks. I believe he/she/them also were well aware of security cameras inside the church and what each recorded. Also knew that there was no outside security cameras working....JMHO

Unless it's a rental car or borrowed car.

I am also thinking that the perp scoped out the locations ahead of time, but not necessarily in that particular car.

jmo

Good points. But they may have thought the car would not be linked. I'm guessing the actual suspect was dropped off near the church around 4:00 and the getaway car never entered the church parking lot because they surely had to suspect the church had surveillance cameras.

I'm new here, so maybe they aren't! If not, I apologize and will gladly delete the posts.

If we really wanted to go out on a limb, we could even hypothesize that the person may have been instrumental in getting her hired to teach the class at the church. They knew there was an early class opening up, knew the church was having trouble with their outside surveillance cameras, knew she'd be there before anyone else was arriving and all alone...

But notice the light washing over that side of the car. Doesn't necessarily mean there is no passenger since they would be in the shadows.

Tonight's weather reminds me of the horrible rain we had back when this happened...IMO there's no way in h3!! I would leave my house in this crap, much less at 4a (or in that range) ...I can't figure out how perp isn't soaking wet in the video..and it just again to me JMO confirms yet again they wanted her dead no matter what the circumstances.

I also think the SP knew the husband would be out of town. Why is that important? I think the SP didn't want the husband to be suspected. It's someone who, for whatever reason, wanted to make sure husband had an alibi.

Who would care so much about that? You'd think if you're murdering someone, you'd love to have another person be suspected. Husbands are always the first to be investigated when a wife is killed, but this perp made sure the husband was away.
