But look at it from the DA's position. Say they finally locate the murderer(s) and he/she/they are not connected to the Altima at all. If the police come out and say it is related to the murder now, the defense can use that to say the police screwed up and got the wrong person. The defense would spend the entire trial harping on the mysterious Altima that possibly had nothing to do with the case and if it sways even one juror, they'd get at least a mistrial.
Oh I totally understand why LE isn't stating that the Altima driver could be POI. I was responding to poster who is totally disregarding the Altima and the posters who are sleuthing the vehicle simply due to LE saying that driver is not involved with the murder. LE can't say that they have no idea who driver is but say they're not connected to the murder. I'm saying that LE would never name the driver as a POI and then expect the driver to come in to talk.

Sandy, BB mentioned the Mississippi plates in his first interview after arriving back in Midlothian. He was on his front lawn. Since he had just gotten out of the car from his return trip, I would be shocked if he had talked to investigators.

ETA - I went to find the interview to link here, and the article said Brandon's first "public" interview was on Tuesday, not Monday. Now I have myself confused. I will follow up on this later today. I always thought this quote came as BB was getting out of his car from the drive back from Biloxi.
BB did an interview about 15 min after arriving home with the Fox4 reporter, same one he did the last "exclusive".Tues was in front yard of someones home. I was thinking it either on Tues or when they had the presser (BB & RB) at the MPD shirtgate. one of those iirc

You are not imagining a dog. Here is one of them. If you can't see it look at it on computer.

What they have said is there was a car in the church parking lot, but in a location where video did not pick it up well.

I would like to see the video anyway of that car. I'm guessing it was picked up from interior cameras so it would be in the distance.

jmo

Respectfully. MPD has not stated where the vehicle was or where the surveillance camera was that captured it.

"There’s one surveillance camera where you can see the car in the far corner of the frame, parked in the distance. You can't make out a plate, and we're not even comfortable releasing anything about a possible make or model,” Johnson said.

Depending on where the camera was that picked up this vehicle.... or where the vehicle was parked in the distance. Could possibly been a SWFA camera zoomed in? We just don't know.

I wonder if this alleged comment by BB about the rental plates is just myth. I've gone through the first thread and I find nothing, even though his interviews from 4/18 and 4/19 are linked and discussed.

I distinctly remember it as well. I, too, have been searching for early video clips, etc. Example: Where is the original video where some have said a black drape seems to cover a camera in the original church video?

The first time he talked was right after he got home and possibly after he left the police station. Seems that he was getting out of his car and in a hurry. Very short talk. He had a Richard Ray interview on his patio and a long interview in front of his house.

The very first one on Monday about 315 with Richard Ray, he stated he hadn't been to the MPD yet, he had just gotten home about 15 min prior. Said he had only spoken to them by phone. IIRC

That's correct. Thank you!

Ha!!' I can't find it either but I remember the scene. He was getting out of his car and did a quick interview. Now, he may have said the same thing again in his third interview with his dad. If I find it, I'll let you know but I'm pretty sure you are correct!

All those interviews are in the Media/No Discussion thread. Link is on first page / first post of every thread.

Can't point you to it but I remember very well him pointing out that Mississippi plates were on rental car. It made me wonder if he rented from the car rental agency where you pick your car out yourself after you rent.
When the car is parked for a few minutes do you know what the "blip" or flash of light is? I was thinking it was the airport lights, but after taking a closer look it's probably not the airport lights. Does SWFA have a sign with lights that circulates or what is the blip/flash of light?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the video/frames don't add up. I don't know why I'm surprised......it seems to be par for the course with this case.

There must be a reason and logically the only reason that makes sense to me is that LE doesn't need help identifying the car or driver and SWFA is working with LE to send a message.

I'm with you I'm happy they released what they have, but I want more!!!! :tantrum:

I have always felt from this comment early on that they were confident it was the SP car. They didn't say "a car" and then something like - can't see it well enough to know it is the SP car. They called it "the car" from the beginning.

No it's not myth. I'm thinking it has been taken down. A bunch of us discussed this for a long time. A very long time! Ha. I found people referring to it also in comments from April. It was short and he had just arrived back to midlothian. We all watched the video at the start but I've looked everywhere. I'll do my best to see what I can find. This was not his formal interview.

I have one YouTube video in my MB file showing as having been deleted. What are the odds it's that one? I remember it too...

Good to see some of you reminding us of some of the original interviews, videos, etc. We can all become forgetful and need reminded of original "news". Thanks for all the links/relinks!

Are there locals on here who know if the B-Clan is still traveling, back in town, etc.
Also, can someone tell me the hometown of VB and RB?

Thanks!

At about 1:25 --- after the Altima stops and then starts going again - something moves from right to left inside the building window - may be just reflection from car lights.

I noticed the movement and thought if those are monitors showing the security camera views, then if we are seeing most of 1 monitor and part of a 2nd, so maybe the movement is the Altima moving getting picked up by one camera then showing on the other. The movement from those monitors is in cinque with the Altima.

The person inside the church was wearing what appears to be a dark colored balaclava ( in response to an earlier question from "Seriously").

SWAT- gear person can be seen here. The silver/light-colored Altima seen in the church parking area is also in this video.

I agree it doesn't look like Texas. So far I haven't been able to find any other states using the same One State Under God.

Thanks for indulging me ND2014 and Mistree. Usually I lurk on this case.

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-t...must-remember-God-in-Texas-pledge-1822212.php

Texas isn't the only state that has its own pledge of allegiance. Other states include Michigan, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Kentucky.

Re the plates 4FAITH and 2010 unpaid fine:
I know I coincidentally had found (long time ago) an endless list which showed all citizens by name who had for years unpaid fines and because of that were going to get a visit from authorities. It was some sort of public warning. I'm sure to have seen the B-name on this list. The address I've forgotten now but did fit with our B-family. Maybe it was Plano.
