Does anyone know if there are any search warrants for this case that are under seal? I know we've discussed the possibility but wondered if anyone knows if any actually exist or whether or not that's something that can be found out (at least on a local LE level - not necessarily any of the other LE agencies involved. TIA.

There is at least one known warrant that is being withheld. That warrant contained the serial number of a firearm and that is reason used for not releasing that particular warrant. There are likely warrants to banks that are being withheld. Possibly warrants to hotels, car rental companies, gyms and other businesses, etc. that are being withheld.

But as far as warrants that are "sealed" and whether or not that is different from warrants that are not releasable due to exceptions, I don't know.

What I find surprising is that we haven't seen any warrants to e-mail providers or chat/video chat providers, skype (and similar), other social media, websites, etc. To only have them for Facebook and LinkedIN leaves me a bit dumbfounded.

Agree, the totality of the crime paints a picture of one or more people who planned this like it was a military operation. Who would want MB disappeared ?

OR an individual that had so many coincidences/circumstances working in their favor that it boggles the mind..!

If this ultimately turns out somehow to be a burglary or crazy vandalism attempt gone very wrong, then I will be shocked beyond words...

LE/prosecutor might have sent subpoenas (not warrants, necessarily). Then you have company attorneys handling them and depending on how much was requested/demanded in the subpoenas, it can take several months. I was just wondering about actual warrants giving LE permission to search, seize, etc.that might be under seal.

Why do you think they got dropped off to steal a car ? did the person who dropped them off know ? was it a gang initiation ?

When they stole the Escape, a Good Samaritan tried to follow them. The silver Versa that had dropped them off got between the Samaritan and the Escape and purposely blocked them so that the carjackers could get away.

ETA: probably the purpose was to get the carjacked vehicle to a chop shop. Which would help to explain why the vehicle hasn't been spotted in 9 months.

From Missy's FB posts she was out of town from 4/13 and returned on 4/17 so 5 of the 14 days she supposedly stop going to the gym she wasn't even in town to go.

Then if you look further on her FB it appears she's promoting her training business in the days prior to leaving for Austin and she IMO implies that she's too busy to train for an event because she's busy with Total Transformations. I don't know if the promotions include doing workouts outside of the gym but possibly so I could see her not going to the gym on those days.

And IMO she probably took 1 or 2 days off from the gym each week to allow her body to recover.

We really can't say whether or not she was not at the gym for some benign reason or if she really was avoiding the gym.

To clarify: The Total Transformation is a push to get people to do CG for the 4 week camp...it's not a personal training thing, it's meant to get new people to do CG at the various classes..they do it all over, and there are a couple of extra things included.

CG is always 4 weeks on, 1 week off (unless you are a 6 or 12mo member which they call bold.)

My post isn't clear. Maybe some of her promotions included some sort of workout that made up for the gym workouts she was missing.

Does anyone know if Missy was doing any private training?

I understand that TT is for signing people up. On 4/11 someone asks Missy when will they start training for the Green Beret event. Her reply "Hahaha....I'm so busy with Total Transformations, we might have to wing it !" which implies that TT was taking up a lot of time for training.

And does anyone remember the time frame she was training AT for CG, I could see that making up for gym workouts also.

What, IF the Altima disappeared on the "8 acre property" across the CCoC (place for certain events)? Maybe, there are no surveillance cameras.

Yes it is misleading. But one of my POI's quit the same gym at the same time (and not very amicably I don't think) and I'm itching to know if there is a connection.

Still can't believe this is unsolved, it seemed so amateurish at first but somebody has done a great job of covering it up.

So there are exceptions that allow SW to be withheld which is different than being sealed?

It doesn't sound crazy. For those that subscribe to some variation on the staged burglary to hide a murder theory we have SP in the church making sure they were seen doing things to intentionally misdirect investigators. If the Altima is involved it clearly is following the same pattern of making sure it is seen with misdirecting behavior. I am sure there are other misdirections that we are not aware of because we have either not seen it since we don't have all video of either location or it is something at the church not caught on any camera (like inside the kitchen or any other room) that SP did.

In some ways it would be like having a two-sided jigsaw puzzle where the pictures on each side are not quite identical but very close so it isn't obvious which side of which piece goes where in the puzzle when you are putting it together. Made harder because you have neither picture to work from so you don't even know what the finished puzzle looks like.

MPD has all of the pieces to assemble the puzzle and complete the picture. However, I doubt they have really bothered too much in actually trying to complete it. I say that because often times the police are just acting as arms of the prosecutor in that they need not be concerned with everything that went on but rather just certain specific things that are all that are necessary to prove statutory elements of a criminal act in order to convict. And the problem is they still don't have a suspect and the only way they will get to (or at least towards) a suspect is to complete the entire puzzle in my opinion.

It is my belief that the biggest clue to SP's identity is who could conceive of, plan, and then execute the plan that led to Missy's death. Whoever possesses that intelligence, determination, confidence, and discipline, and wherewithal to do this from A to Z.

I feel thisis a lynch pin post. The puzzle analogy is good. Sometimes some of the pieces we’re looking at (size and location of rooms, room numbers, shards, even to an extent, exactly how did they exit) are part of the puzzle but on the edges. Barring a confession or good citizen that knows something we all need to hear, we need enough core middle pieces to be able to make out who the puzzle is of.

1. Jethro’s correct in that this is a pretty unique individual. 95-98% of the human population couldn’t do this. (BOTH brutal and enraged enough to carry out the mutilation of another human being with a hammer, but ALSO evading LE for 9 months) knowing they would be handing over video tapes of themselves, giving up several steps right up front.

2. The biggest clue we have on timing is that this appears to have days (probably weeks) of planning put into it.

3. We should get a HUGE clue in the communicationof MB in the month or three prior to her murder. She was very verbal and an open book. There has to be communication between MB and SP in that time frame, probably offering motive and/or threat. She ran around in a lot of social circles;not all of them squeaky-clean. This didn’t happen out of thin air.

A. This person is a detailed planner, highly-disciplined,reasonable intelligent, whose hallmark personality trait is supreme self-confidence. They know if they mess one thing, their life is over, but are so confident in their own abilities they take this huge risk. They may have already been interviewed by LE but were unfazed.

B. There does appear to be some potential LE or military influence on the planning and carrying out of the event. LE should be able to identify that better than us. Were there specific counter-investigative moves done that probably only LE could concoct?

C. Getting down the chain here. It could be a hit by someone with broad over-arching motive. In which case, SP could beanyone from anywhere, thus the delay in apprehension. That is a 10,000 piece puzzle. And we’ve got maybe a 50/50 chance it eventually breaks down some where. Even many hits are solved. It appears to be a well-plan hit if that in the case.

The smaller details (like MB's trunk being left open because she was in the middle of unloading equipment) are what always get me the most. They are so chilling to me because those little run of the mill, everyday average details make everything seem very real. They remind me that it could have been anyone; it could have been me.

Why couldn't they simply cover up serial number and release it?

I can't believe it's not solved either. If I lived in the area I would be so freaked out. I wonder if the area had a sudden and significant increase with permit/license to carry after this happened?

Is the POI you're referring to listed in any of the SW's?

At this point I have not moved off my POI(s).
As for the Altima I believe that it is in play, as there is too much going on with it in the video and I am not convinced that MPD doesn't know more about it than they have let on. Regardless, MPD and the prosecutor for this case are probably going to have to run that vehicle out and try to find the driver because even the defense attorney that graduated last in their class would bring it up. Of course, it could become irrelevant if MPD has DNA or some other evidence from where Missy was found that can be tied to whomever they arrest down the road (if ever).
