This looks like an open knee support/ application of some kind, not motocross related or self defense related. We would then see a knee cap protector, soft or rigid. That does not seem the case here.

Thank you, arden. There is another interview of BB where he describes the pants as being regular nylon jogging type pants, iirc.

Police are still considering if the attack was random or if Missy may have been targeted, Johnson said. They are also open the idea there may have been another person or people the individual seen on the security footage was working with, Johnson said.
"At this point, with no firm suspect, everything is still on the table," he said. "This is a frustrating investigation, a hard investigation."

I think the reason the "female" perp on the camera seems rather relaxed is because she is not alone in the task. Someone is there with her. And I think the other person is the one who actually did the murder.

Thanks and good question. Regarding why a brace like that would be worn on top of the clothing, I have no idea. It just looks so much like a brace with rivets. Additional support perhaps? The need to readjust it if necessary?

I hope MPD will be releasing the remaining unpublished surveillance video at some point. I am interested in the exact movements of the perpetrator and would like to scrutinize every single frame.

Although I don't believe we are going to glean much from apparel detail, since all the gear is so readily available; in one's own closet, online retailers, costume shops, etc., I will throw this out there: I read that the gloves were Altus gloves. When I looked them up, a line from one supplier said: "Don't Weigh Much but Will Deliver a Punch".
That does not mean anything to me, but someone on WS might have a thought.

I have been on so many sites in last few days.....mainly sites w/commentary after a news broadcast. Therefore, unable to remember which site I read that on. However, the quote: "Don't Weigh Much but Will Deliver a Punch"just popped up on a generic google search for Altus gloves.

I don't but I documented it was taken at 1.09 from the video. You can actually see the emblem on the glove beginning about 1.08. I just took another screencapture just now at about the same point (1.09) if you want to work on it. See below.

My mom had to wear some sorta like what your thinking of prior to her knee replacement. But JMHO the Suspect right side is more visual in some marks on the video. The uploaded speed, being grainy and spliced, jmho makes some things very distorted.

As far as the whatever on the Suspect, I agree there is something on all of the limbs of the Suspect. But I also think that it is part of the SWAT persona whether real or put together to look as a SWAT LEO. Very possible from many places. LOL when you google SWAT shinguards, the Suspect ss comes up in Google Images too. Sidenote IF something ever happens to me or I am arrested for something and my computer/tables are forensically examined hopefully from some ss they will realize it was for research not looking to do illegal stuff. NIN I believe these are real type shinguards that the SWAT would use. Not saying the SUSPECT IS REAL SWAT, but again could have tried to either set someone up or really covering and protecting from head to toe. It was for purpose. The bulk and fitting could also cause some of the gait. JMHO whether causes, enhances or helps fake it. And camera angles from above distorts too. **thinking out loud

Possible, yes. I just do not understand how high up those guards are reaching. Looks like a rivet there. Also the patella area looks open or folds open.

I am still thinking the protective gear on the leg may serve a double purpose, safety and stability. As I said, I wished we had the entire unpublished of the church surveillance video. I need some additional perspectives.

I have tried to read all posts so please forgive me if someone already said this and I missed it. Flashing lights.........could they have been signaling someone to let them know it was a go??? Someone parked on the dark road, on foot???? It didn't stand out to me until just now when I read it again. I know we discussed the theory of water messing with electrical system. I don't have time to go back through the video but I'm curious which direction(s) they were facing each time they flashed their lights???? Not that it tells us anything really other than they were working with someone.

BBM - no problem... I too brought that up in an earlier post. Not sure of replies and followup as I was off here due tp illness. I felt maybe they were signaling someone as well and it looked like they had stopped in some area that seemed like an underpass (not sure what it was) and they sit there with lights off for a while before moving on. SP is carrying a pry-bar in his/her right hand and a hammer in his/her left hand when traversing from the bulletin board over to the corner of the coffee grounds cafe. S(he) then slip-packs the pry bar away and continues carrying the hammer all the way to the double Dutch doors. I can post frames tomorrow, if you like me to.

The white you see in the right pants pocket is another tool. That tool shows very well in the end sequence of the video, the part where SP is holding the *saran wrap- ziplock- trashbags* in his left hand while hammering the glass.

I have never seriously considered there being two SPs inside the Church until the Altima vid. Surely the apparel could not be perfectly matched between the two. I would like to know in which frames does SP wear the plastic guard to cover the face. Anyone?

According to his mother he told her to "Be prepared". I'm often told to be careful by my husband and family but I've never been told to be prepared. And it's stuff like this that cause so many to think he was involved.
