I guessed "female" ... should be a poll up to see what other think!!
@Vern, thank you for your service to our country. Yes, agree with you about a poll. The lips and jawline were throwing me off initially. Anyway, I'll stick with male... final answer. lol

This person is a female.

She has very long, very wavy hair.

A person you hypothetically suppose was involved?

(Tucked under the helmet?)

I previously posted a picture of a solider that was wearing gear and made it pretty hard to determine male or female.

That person was female with really long hair.

The picture isn’t related to Missy’s case at all, just an example of how hard it can be to distinguish.

I realize I am replying to myself, but here is a really good example.

Is this person a man or woman?

Scarlett Johansson without make-up. ;)

IMO Missy's case will end up like Patti Adkins.

Most people have a pretty good idea who is behind her death but LE will never be able to prove it.

I selected female because of the very thin layer of cam paint she is wearing in the photo and the lack of it on the tip of her nose. In my experience, women hate layering this stuff on too thick (it's 'bad for my complexion') while men love it. Women also hate to cam their nose up properly and we are constantly telling them to correct their cam by getting their nose properly done and thickening up their cam paint in some areas to break up the undertones of their skin. The tip of the nose tends to 'shine' and can be a, quite literal, dead giveaway when attempting to hide oneself.

I think profiler Pat Brown is changing my mind/theory that Missy was targeted.

Burglars, even amateur ones, don't wear bulky, clumsy clothing to commit their crimes. That individual was dressed for hand to hand combat, not ease of movement.

I'm not familiar with Patti Adkins' case, however, would you explain why you think LE will never be able to prove it? Hoping the murder weapon is located and there was DNA left at the crime scene which could be matched up. moo

Really good video. Confirms my non-targeted bias that I’ve had since about 2018? I’d have to check all the old threads! I think I was “targeted” for 1 or 2+ years. But I agree with Ms. Brown now: non-targeted is why he hasn’t been caught.

I do understand what you’re saying, like they are covered for protection, but they can’t see, evidenced when the Dutch door surprises them. I don’t understand how someone could dress in a way that blocks vision and movement as well as wearing oversized, poorly fitting boots, preventing running or kicking, and that is deemed appropriate gear for hand-to-hand combat? Would you say it was more protection from possible bullets rather than hand-to-hand combat? Thank you for your thoughts.

Some of us find that outfit & the behavior suggestive of LARPing -- Live Action Role Play.

If you are at all familiar with '70's & '80's text-based computer games, or the Zork or Leisure Suit Larry series, you might remember typing "open door" or "pick up item" in a game.

Watching that video -- that's what I see.

Now how that becomes violent, up-close murder, no idea.

Leisure Suit Larry, well, certainly fair to say he hits on women but not with a hammer or a bullet.

Because of 2 alibis? Or more alibis, what do you think?

I agree. I think watching the surveillance video again after all these years and hearing Pat Brown’s commentary on her YouTube video posted just above makes it very clear to me.

Just like the Delphi murders the truth is in plain sight. Occams Razor like most cases IMO.

Honestly, never understood DC ways so not clear about your response but thank you anyway. :) moo

But what is Occams Razor in this case...killed by someone she knew ?

Thank you for explaining this better.

I have a hard time grasping the concept, but you explained it well.

I am an EXTREMELY jumpy person. Like, if someone at work starts talking to me and I didn't see or hear them coming towards me, I seriously almost jump 10 ft in the air. This can be someone very casually asking me something. I thought I was going to have a heart attack years ago really late night/early morning when my son was a baby, and I didn't see his mother go into his room. She walked out of the room as I was going to get him, said "I got it" in a fairly regular voice and I seriously thought I was having a heart attack.

So for me, personally, if I was expecting to be alone in a church at 4am, and anyone made a noise to get my attention, I would probably soil myself and freeze up.

This is a little off the beaten path, but there is speculation that in the past, some serial killers played recordings of babies crying in order to get (particularly women) to answer the door and investigate the sound.

I would jump out of my skin too. I don't think they released footage of Missy's reactions to the public though. Did she jump or rush toward the voice?

I don't agree that this killer was wandering around for no reason. He/she was "wandering around" to fool police and people like us into thinking this was a burglary. In my opinion, it was a targeted, premeditated murder, and I think the motive was jealousy and resentment towards Missy or anger by someone who suspected her of an affair. I think the murderer is a woman by her walk, the way she handles the crowbar to pretend she's a burglar, and the way she swings the hammer to break the glass. She doesn't mind making noise because she knows exactly what time to expect Missy.

If it was a burglary then where's the stuff they looted? I don't see any theft on the video. It looks like someone pretending to be a cop looking around and waiting for Missy.
I feel someone close to the family knows who this is. They might not be aware they killed Missy but they are close to the family.
I wish we could see how everyone behaved after the crime.
