Out of the blue question for no particular reason, did MB have any connections to a nurse, (or other hospital worker), either male or female?
The police does indeed say that the suspect is a man. But the reporter says that the manner of death is not being revealed.Never mind I found it. It was right after the murder and the police were pretty sure it was a man at that time. Mom of 3 killed; suspect wanted 'to look like a police officer'
At the beginning she says she was shot. The police does indeed say that the suspect is a man. But the reporter says that the manner of death is not being revealed.
She did have many students as a fitness coach. To be sure she had at least one at some point.Out of the blue question for no particular reason, did MB have any connections to a nurse, (or other hospital worker), either male or female?
This article made me wonder…Never mind I found it. It was right after the murder and the police were pretty sure it was a man at that time. Mom of 3 killed; suspect wanted 'to look like a police officer'
Maybe this is a Golden State Killer type of sitch?Or, was making a lame attempt to stage a break in or vandalism.
FWIW, I don't think the killer(s) was an experienced criminal.

I've heard people claimed that GSK/DeAngelo actually was the killer, but it'd say that's too far-fetched given the location and DeAngelo's lack of known criminal activity for decades before hand. But as for the actual killer being similar psychologically with wanting control/possession of physical areas, there might be something to that. But again that raises questions, like why give up on breaking into Room 9 so quickly? Where would be those supposed targeted areas of physical possession? The theme of being is no rush despite being in a situation where you would think they would rationally want to hurry up and get out of there after doing what they planned does stick, however.Maybe this is a Golden State Killer type of sitch?
Escalating to creepily taking possession of a church, like GSK would take possession of his victims' bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, etc.?
I understand that this is problematic if there's no local history or gossip of someone doing similar things; but then, if there is no local history or gossip saying that someone was doing this type of thing as a matter of course to get their thrills, then it sends us back towards thinking the perpetrator's goal was to harm Missy (or someone else whose habitual stomping ground was the church) in particular.
WHEN an arrest is made? When indeed!Great question. I would like to have more discussion about evidence that has been released to the public.
Here is what a recent article said generally about evidence in the case.
Midlothian police Chief Carl Smith told WFAA in 2021 that investigators have released most of the information about the case, including the surveillance video of a person in tactical gear inside the church when Bevers was killed. But Smith also said police are still protecting some evidence, as it could help them down the road when an arrest is made.
I do agree that Missy, as a victim was random, but I do not believe that particular church was random at all. Also from Mom of 3 killed; suspect wanted 'to look like a police officer' :
"It certainly is a strange occurrence for a church to be burglarized this time of morning," Smith said. "It certainly looks like... it's just an odd, random situation."
I wonder what Smith was going to say there.
Would a church like that have wine, if so, where would it be kept, possibly in cupboards? speculation.

Ah, interesting nuance! Why do you think the church wasn’t random, why was it chosen?
Almost assuredly no.... Churches of Christ are generally abstainers who use grape juice for communion, and it would be especially unlikely in a Texas Church of Christ outpost IME.Would a church like that have wine, if so, where would it be kept, possibly in cupboards? speculation.
They knew the church and had some connection to it. To your point,, presumably, they knew there wasn’t a security system. But, apparently, they didn’t know the church, so well that they were aware that Fitness classes would take place there early in the morning. As such, they were caught off guard and surprised when they ran into Missy. As to why they picked that church, I think it’s just a simple fact that they were familiar with the church. Or, they could’ve had some beef with the church. I don’t think there was a premeditated intent to harm Missy, I think she just startled the perpetrator, and they reacted. Not the OP but me, I say it was chosen because it had poor security and no live alarm.
Sure seems like the intruder knew that.
None of those movements suggest the intruder worried LE might show up to investigate a break in.
Didn't take anything.
Didn't vandalize much.
Didn't appear to lay in wait.
Why?

For that matter, do they allow musical instruments? I know that equipment is expensive and probably a target for burglars at some churches.Almost assuredly no.... She sure does! I didn't catch it the first time somehow. At the beginning she says she was shot.
