Did anyone watch The Final Cut on 20/20? It showed more of the convicted killer in the Joleen Cummings case walking after throwing the garbage bags in the bin and it looked like she was close to falling over much like the suspect in this case. Also a guy she knew when she was young said she drove from Florida to San Antonio over night after a small conversation about possibly seeing her if he's ever in Florida. So I think even if one day it's proven that she wasn't living in Texas at the time of Missy's murder I still wouldn't rule her out.

I think it depends on if you think it was targeted or not. I don't, so to me she seems like a good suspect, but if I thought it was targeted I probably wouldn't. Also, because of the video I believe it's a female who did this crime and I just don't believe there are that many extremely violent female killers who also walk similarly and have a connection to Texas. Obviously it's not enough to charge her but I do believe she should be looked into for this murder and probably other murders. There's a reason she had so many aliases and was constantly moving to different states.

I mean, with the case still unsolved after close to a decade, it surely couldn't hurt for Kessler to be looked into (if she hasn't been already).

Also, semi-sidenote, any other hypermobile folks see those leg screenshots and try to imitate the posture to see if their knees could extend that far? Turns out mine cannot

Is there any connection at all between Missy and Kessler?

I have heard a couple of different renditions of the Kessler story and yes she is bat sh*t crazy. Some accounts have her eating raw hamburger meat with both hands.

I only know of her killing Cummings, and that’s because she was questioning Kesslers story’s and calling her out on her inconsistencies and lies. This kill seemed very impulsive.

Has Kessler even been accused of killing anyone else?

I am just having a hard time seeing how Kessler would have any connection to Missy, much less concocting a plan to drive hundreds of miles away and break into a random church dressed like the perp was (if she was not targeting Missy) or stalking down Missy and ambushing her in the church in an exaggerate getup at 4am (if she was stalking Missy). If she was stalking Missy, how on earth did she know her?

We all want to see this resolved but I think trying to place Kessler there is forcing a round peg into a circular hole.

The suspect's walk has been discussed a number of times on this thread and links to videos have been posted.
We have the word of a qualified forensic podiatrist, there is nothing unique or indentifiable in the suspect's walk, many people walk in the same manner and it is not known how the footware may have affected the walk. An outturned foot is mentioned, not hypermobility.

So you think a female perpetrator (possibly Kessler) went to the church to burglarize it and killed Missy after being interrupted? I haven't seen the statistics but I am confident at least 90% of burglars are male. I thought the general consensus was that if Missy was not targeted, the perpetrator was a male burglar, but I could be wrong.

That's probably a fairly accurate statistic but I think based on the video I believe it was a woman, especially when they swing the hammer. Also, their behaviour before to me doesn't indicate a preplanned murder (unless that was their plan). It's definitely a crime a man would typically commit but based on what she was convicted of she's definitely willing to do crimes that are more typical of a man.
