Hi! I'm not quite sure I'm even posting correctly, as this is my first time!! I've been reading and taking everything in. This case really gives me the creeps...the video footage just creeps me out. I keep seeing people talk about the perp's eyes. Can anyone tell me where I can find that picture? I seem to miss so much! Thank you!!!
Welcome to the group!:wagon: I'll try to find that for you unless someone beats me to it.

My example was an off the top of my head one, and probably not the best one but I didn't want to labor over it. But don't mash up the creepy message with the flirty and familiar message, as they're two separate messages. My point being that some police officer is going to bring his own interpretations into reading a communication between two people when he doesn't know either of them. Some people speak to each other very familiarly, and just because they're a man and a woman doesn't automatically make it romantic. The guy might be gay, for example. We have no idea what the communications were exactly. Could have been as extreme as "I want to leave my husband and be with you" or as ambiguous as ""we've known each other for 30 years and I feel like you know me better than anybody else."

Just saying that sometimes LE sees what they want to see, which is why innocent people get wrongly convicted a lot. Not saying that has happened here, just that it can happen.

Sure, but don't forget that LE also has the responses in front of them. It should be pretty obvious after seeing several consecutive texts whether the messages are just someone who calls everybody "honey" and someone who is intimate with the person he's calling honey.

I get a Jodi Arias vibe from this case too.

Let's don't forget that the tactical uniform makes it unlikely that some random person broke into the church and didn't expect anyone. I can understand concealing your identity with a mask or something when burglarizing. But not full tactical gear that is hot and bulky and movement-restricting. This person dressed for a fight, IMHO.

Well, the SWAT tactical gear is not designed for fighting, as far as I know. It's bulky, movement-restricting, it slows the wearer down. Especially an unexperienced wearer like the perp in question. His helmet was too big, most probably limiting his vision, the shoes were ill fitting, bad choice if you plan to fight with someone. This outfit actually causes more problems than that - it catches the attention, so the perp had to take it off before leaving the church, therefore spending more time on or around crime scene. You cannot just roll it into a ball and stuff in a bag, or under the car seat. The helmet, the vest, the protective pads, it all takes space. What if someone noticed it in his car? Risky, if you ask me. Getting rid of it is also not easy, exactly because it's bulky. And hard to destroy, even by fire. Only a juvenile (or someone extremely immature) might think dressing himself in that gear is the best possible way to protect themselves and conceal their identity. If the perp wanted to kill Missy it would be easier to prepare a weapon for that. Ambush her and knock her out with something heavy, shoot her, but getting involved in a fight while wearing this uncomfortable gear?

Can someone briefly explain who Casey Williams is? He/She is the person mentioned in the Linked In warrant. I didn't find that person listed under MB friends on FB and that LI profile is "not available" right now.

Or point me to a forum#. I did searches during the 5/28 dates but never found anything

Try Googling that LinkedIn profile name. Don't go to LinkedIn to do it - just enter the profile name into the Google Search. It will give you a result that tells you about him. That link is dead if you click on it, but you will be able to read enough info without clicking on it to get what you're looking for.

That is really cool!! I suppose they could see that IMEI at 4am on April 18, then backtrack it to see where it shows up in the previous month. If that phone sits at someone's house that would be interesting.

Many threads ago, someone said it looked like SWATperp was talking to someone. This was when they were trying to pry open that one door. It would make sense to me to have a lookout. You need someone to tell you that the other campers have arrived and that it is time to get out.

I still don't understand how no one noticed a car leaving that parking lot. The place was empty....

I thought the same thing. It does look like he/she was talking to someone and then as they're walking away, it appears they're walking w/ more purpose & they turn their head towards the left. IMO

LE said that they found the person who sent that message, and that they are not looking at them as a suspect.
LE found the person responsible for the flirtatious messages or the "creepy" message? I was only aware of the identification of the "flirtatious" messages.[emoji53]

"The perp had to take it off before leaving the church" - not sure how you can know that. Perp could have driven away in the uniform, or could have walked into the woods and exited the other side. We don't know what happened with the outfit. Also keep in mind that there were outside cameras (not working, but perp wouldn't have known that). Perp seemed to be aware of the internal ones, so we can assume perp was observant enough to notice the outside ones too and would not take the outfit off until off the property.

And when I said "dressed for a fight", maybe I should have said "dressed for defense" instead. The perp didn't want MB to physically overpower her (I still lean toward female). The helmet and the padding provided defensive protection so that MB couldn't easily get a good shot in and take control of the situation. Plus, if MB saw the perp from a little distance away, like down a hallway, the tactical outfit is going to shock her, but it isn't going to inspire her to turn and run the way a plainclothes stranger would. They make eye contact, the perp can say authoritatively "I'm the police - we've had a break-in. Stay there for a second and don't move." Then they can close the distance and attack when close enough.

I know the clothes are ill-fitting. But it's not like the perp can go to the tailors and have the thing custom-fitted. They had to work with what they had. It still gave them advantages and did a good job concealing identity AND gender (if that was important to them). Perp still seemed to move reasonably well in them. Maybe you're right and it will turn out to be some juvenile out to do vandalism/robbery. But if that's the case, it may be the first time in history that someone did it wearing a tactical police uniform.

Not sure. Could be an energy patch? They have B12, sometimes caffeine or other herbal stimulants. Supposedly they're for slow-release energy without stomach upset or getting washed from the bloodstream with rehydration.

It is a thrive patch she sold lev-el

Quiet, calm before the storm?

So I've been a baseball coach for 19 years. I know good arms, and swings. At the end of the video when the perp is breaking glass or a door, that's a pitiful swing. Female, or older guy.

Nothing earth-shattering on the NBC DFW station. They said that forensic video specialists were there and would probably go to the church tonight to take measurements and such. They said that there are about 54 of these specialists in the country, and 2 of them are assigned to this case.

What a letdown. :(

That is exactly what my boyfriend said when he looked at it.

If it's a rock pick rather than a hammer, would it make the swing different since there's a sharp point on the tool?

Sweet Jesus! Does this new info mean that they still have no idea who the perp is?:gasp:
