New to the site and have read through these posts all week. This case sticks out to me because the video draws us in and puts us at the crime scene. It is a creepy feeling to say the least. I do believe the perp is a man. I believe there is a flashlight on the helmet. The light does not appear to be on at times, and on at others. It is easy to mount a camera to a helmet, and many cameras (including phones) that can be mounted, have lights. Is there a chance that LE sees this as how it could have been filmed? Could the perp have turned the camera and light on when he/she knew the time was approaching? Just my thoughts. Thank you.

Yes, this. You can clearly see the mounted light at 1:41 in the surveillance video. I was also wondering why they would be using it, other than the obvious dark rooms. It is interesting to me that it hasn't been mentioned until now, so it seems. Maybe it isn't relevant or maybe it is? :thinking:

Did anyone else find KS (Missy's SIL) open letter weird if not inappropriate? The "I always wanted to be a detective" one? I read that and my jaw literally hung open. It came out of nowhere and, well, and!?

I found it even more jaw dropping she said she wanted to watch them take their last breath inside the jail (IMO- I have no link handy) WTF is that to post openly???

Yep. And where has she been recently? I'm still thinking about the last pressed where she mentioned the killer enjoying the beautiful day probably sitting on a patio drinking a margarita. Odd comment - the whole BB fam might want to explore "no comment" and stayng out of the spotlight. JMO and what I would do

I don't know where this information is coming from but it is 100% FALSE. CT grew up in Arlington. She and AJT were high school sweethearts at Bowie High School in Arlington. Her parents still live in Arlington,

She may not be a Midlothian but she is most certainly a local Texan, and from a town that is only 30 minutes from Midlothian, and she lives in a town that is only 15-20 minutes away.

I've been around these people a time or two and I have many friends who know them.

Thank you. I didn't say they weren't locals now. I said they were both born in other states. They did not go to high school in Midlothian so they weren't raised there. I stand by what I posted with it's implied meaning.

I know some posters on here have suggested that there are a lot of "locals" on this case and have alluded to the fact that what is said by them needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

As I've said many times, I'm a local. I have been around AJT and CT a few times. I have many friends in common with them. I do not know the Bevers but I do have friends that know them.

That being said, I've heard all sorts of rumors about this case that have not been mentioned on Websleuths. A poster said a few pages ago that they hear one bit of information and it makes them think, "She did it!" and then they hear another bit that makes them say. "He did it!" This is exactly where I stand.

I have heard lots of rumors, some of which I can corroborate with my own knowledge of the people involved. I have heard rumors that I cannot corroborate and that sound completely crazy.

At this point and based on what I've heard (and have not heard from LE), I am not aligning myself with one theory. I can see the outcome of this going a couple of different ways.

I can say for sure, though, that if something isn't done to clear the T's, the damage to this family is going to be horrific- especially to the children. Can you imagine one of them going to school and another student saying to them, "My mommy says your Mommy is a killer." Because I can bet you $$ that is already happening!

And that is the thing, I see this turning into a witch hunt so to speak. We had LE release certain affidavits which focused on target numbers. Of those individuals, CT has been the primary focus with nothing more than an old foot injury and speculation that someone from BB side of the family indicated that she may not have liked MB. She might not of liked MB, but that certainly doesn't equate to murder. I just wonder why no one else has been focused on as much as CT?
I just find this rare in cases I have followed on websleuths. It isn't often that we have a list of POI's and then have LE go silent. It just leads to overwork by our mods and even more harmful the reputation of a family being put through the ringer.
IF we find that CT committed this crime, I will be shocked and saddened. I do not think that this will end up being anyone that we have seen discussed here. It will likely be much more sinister and shocking than we are even prepared for. IF and when that time comes, who is going to restore the reputation of this family?

Hello: I followed that case second by second! Indeed agree 100%. Same thing happened when Chandra Levy was murdered in DC. The murder opened can of worms as she was having an affair with a politician; everyone blamed him (as it came on the heels of the Anne Marie Fahey case). He lost his reputation, job and career. He did not murder Chandra. So while the profile fits, the truth may be so much further away. Right now I don't believe it's "her". I feel for "her" whole family. WHY are we exploiting and investigating her schedule? LE do that. Not ordinary citizens. JMHO (and thanks for your views!)

When will people learn that no good comes from behavior like that - married people + affairs, people with influence having affairs with staff members. [Slightly different, but didn't anyone learn from the movie Fatal Attraction, either?]

Regarding this case, it's different because there's no evidence, no history and no connection other than a remote one between the two (CT and MB) that we know of. She may or may not be involved, but based on what I've seen here (unless it's been deleted), she hasn't been trashed, just discussed as a possible. In real life, in her community, it may be completely different. But I haven't seen people be mean or rude about her here (unless it's been deleted). I think that discussing possible motives isn't a judgment on whether she's bad or good, just if she had means, motive, opportunity. Intent is pretty obvious whoever the killer is. IMO.

Did MB have any life insurance ?

Would have to be communicating with someone else I guess. Maybe there's other cell phones that need to looked at not in the SWarrant.

Mods have been great; there has been nasty stuff however it's not abundant and has been deleted. Perhaps people are too used to FB, Twittter and other sites that are trash-talking. It's so understandable to id a "suspect". It's wrong, yes. Perhaps by reading here, maybe some will post on those other groups to remove the kids pictures. BB and CT have not been named suspects. They do not deserve lynch-mob. More than that, their kids must be protected. FWIW, I don't believe BB murdered Missy. I find it hard to believe CT did. Nevertheless, we know a psychopathic monster did. Justice can't come soon enough

I totally agree with you on that and I was one who liked MT letter to the perp. I just found the "watch them take their last breath in the jail" comment to be very very odd. Maybe she meant they would get the DP and she would be there to watch. *shrug*

Egg-zactly! Condit's ruined life and career were because he was a married man having an affair with Levy which caused him not to be re-elected. I don't know what happened to his marriage. But regardless, the bad things that happened to him were not because he was falsely accused of murder - they were because he was rightly accused of cheating on his wife.

You're right, we're here to try to help identify people, discuss the people who have been identified, and try to figure out not only who did it but how and why. And if we go on some wild goose chases that's okay - at least an entire army of people is thinking about MB's murder and trying to help solve it.

By the way, I looked back through the media timeline today. Early on, LE was telling us that they believed MB walked in on a robbery in progress. So of course, all of our conjecture and tips were built around trying to find this random robber-turned-killer. Then the narrative changed to, "MB was in contact with her killer." So all of our thinking had to be adjusted based on what LE was telling us. And if they come back and tell us that they no longer think it was someone who had ever contacted MB, we will have to adjust again. So I'm reminded that this is a fluid investigation until we get something more from LE. My favorite theory at the moment is that the perp planned to scare MB with a message but didn't get the prep work done before MB got there and ruined the plan.

Yes, exactly! Me too on the gun issue~~but hubby was in army and said it kind of looked like one. I was trying my hardest to figure out what the perp was carrying, couldn't find any tools that would match that item, then he came up with that.

Interesting idea. I wonder what LE has learned about the possible use of firearms.

Just before the item appears in the footage, there are a few frames where some people have noticed what appears to be a wand torch/flashlight in the perp's left hand, held in an overhand grip. We had a discussion on another forum about the object, and a person posted a photo of what he thought it could be. I found that to be very compelling.
