See, this is where I differ on seeing the gait. Many see it as almost a "drunk walk" or a walk due to gear and boots. I see a left foot that almost always points straight forward in a natural hip line when weight is lifted off and a right foot that consistently turns to the outside when weight is lifted.

And LE noted that too, speaking of injury to the right foot/leg. Maybe from staring too long but in the video where he is walking toward the kids room to open the dutch door I think I see the stem of a prosthetic leg at his ankle. I know he has on shin guards extending to his feet so maybe it is a just strap but it seems reflective like metal. Makes me wonder about a veteran doing rehab at a gym or boot camp.

Not true. Law enforcement might know who it is, but if the district attorney feels the evidence is lacking for a conviction, there would not be an arrest. Hence the need for more evidence or for someone close to Missy to name someone.

I agree. I love to look at batrat's visuals and diagrams and the work looks right, but then when I just eyeball swatperp at the doors and s/he doesn't look that tall. 5'2" seems too short, but 5'6" -5'7" looks like a good guesstimate to me. Every time I look at another picture it messes with my mind and my gut instinct! :blushing:

Standard for commercial interior doors is minimum 80" not 84". Has the height of the doors been confirmed as 84"?

When someone dies, I know from family members, life insurance company requires a copy of the death certificate. :thinking: wonder if MB is still pending due to tests? If so, would that hold up payment of any possible life insurance payment until an arrest since this is a homicide? Honest question **IF there is life insurance on MB

Here's a theory. It's not mine, but just something else to consider: some crazy hs or jhs girl jealous of one of his pretty daughters. Maybe some boy she likes, likes her instead. No school that day. Tell parents she's at a sleepover. Borrows friend's father or mother's police gear and hammer. Perp is definitely shorter with something stuffed into top of helmet to artificially raise recordable "height" and has lifts in shoes. It's pretty obvious.

I keep seeing posts that say there was no school that day. Midlothian ISD had school. Mansfield ISD is the one that was out for the day. It's a minor detail, I know, but it's often repeated in regards to certain scenarios, and it's not true.

Exactly and repeated over and over does not make it true. Some don't read all the comments to see the incorrect has been corrected, so it continues to be spread as fact when its not. :tantrum:

That is typically not the grand jury process, at least in Texas. While Texas is a state that guarantees the right to an indictment by grand jury in a felony, the grand jury proceeding usually takes place after arrest. And the time spent by the grand jury on the average case is only about an hour.

Here is an example of a case last year in Ellis County. Complaint filed by accuser at end of March. Defendants are arrested in April. Case is presented to grand jury in September (likely in a batch along with other cases), and they returned an indictment that day. So it isn't like congressional hearings in which they're going to meet multiple times and spend hours investigating one case. They could do that, but very rare. And usually the accused knows that they're being investigated by a grand jury because they've already been charged.

80" may be the minimum, but I believe the standard is 84", and I'd be extremely surprised if those doors were less than 7ft.. I think those measurements are legit

JMO, I don't see how a life insurance policy payment could be held up or denied just because an arrest hasn't been made. Missy is still dead. That being said, insurance companies have been known to use every trick in the book to stall or deny payouts.

Standard for commercial interior doors is 84" - very occasionally are the doors 80" but they are "virtually always" 84" (according to my TX builder family member).

I'm nearer to Dallas, but I still find myself looking at light colored Altimas, although I think this was bait put out by LE, as they have to have footage of the vehicle entering/leaving the SWFA parking lot. Why release to the public one low quality still shot with the license plate whited out?

Have investigators looked at all vehicles registered to Missy's extended family and friends? Have they looked at all vehicles registered to everyone named in search warrants (public & sealed)? From there, look at all vehicles registered in Ellis county - not that hard to scour for 2010 - 2012 light colored Nissan Altimas. Rinse and repeat for surrounding counties.

The only time I'm somewhat compelled to think it's a woman is when you see perp walking from behind. There's a sway in the walk. But a flat looking rear which is more of a man feature unless the woman is much older. Otherwise, I see a man. I think some of the reason for the female-looking sway is the too-big shoes.

That's what I would think. Say in the Sievers case, if he was the beneficiary of the policy, then they paid out the company is paying the murder and lost their $. I would think JMHO they would wait until know for sure beneficiary is not the murderer.

I think this may be why they released the photo of the Nissan Altima, DA or Grand Jury told them they need more. So they show the public the still shot trying to either get more evidence, or to get someone (SP or conspirator) to turn themself in. At least I hope Le is this far along. JMO.

That makes sense. You wouldn't want to build to the exact minimum of 80", because you wouldn't be leaving any leeway for the structure to settle, floor buckling, whatever. If the height fell down below 80" then you'd be out of compliance and you'd have to address it. 84" inches gives you 4" of play.

And I don't know if any of the doors shown on the video are storage closets - if so, we shouldn't be trying to estimate measurement on those. A small storage closet (small meaning less than 10 sq ft) is exempt from the 80" minimum.
