It was stated she was in the process of unloading her equipment.

One possibility: She unlocked the PC doors and then carried a load inside to wherever she intended to hold class. Then heading back out to her truck, stopped by bathrooms to turn on lights and make sure they were stocked.

I do remember that quote, but my thought is that is still how I would describe it. If her normal routine was to open the front doors to go unlock the PC doors to unload, I would say she was in the process of unloading. If she had more than one trip of stuff to unload, my guess is she would carry some items with her as she went to unlock the front doors as well.

I just can't seem to come up with a viable scenario where she enters the PC doors, is killed in the SW corner, is seen entering on camera but the killing isn't filmed.

I have noticed but I've gotten tired of defending and restating the theory that she came in the front and walked to the SW entrance to where she was going to unlock the doors to bring her stuff in when she was ambushed and murdered. It's the only way that makes sense to me but not everyone agrees and honestly, no one knows for sure.

So pick the theory that you believe and go with it. Just know that there are more than one theory out there and just because it's drawn on one map, does not make it so.

I disregard that theory because it's based on the misinterpretation of one local poster's comment.

Well, okay. What is the comment by this poster and why do you disregard it?

I just provided one. You quoted it. This idea that she entered through the front entrance is based on the misinterpretation of a local person's post. I've reposted it previously, but the misinterpretation persists.

Possible scenario: She parked under the PC awning, unlocked the PC doors, carried a load inside to the workout location, stopped to check bathrooms on the way back out to get another load, and was killed in the bathroom corridor or one of the bathrooms.

Where was SP hiding when she walked in that she wouldn't see him after passing through the first time - are you thinking he was inside the bathroom? If he was in the corridor like I suspect, I would think it would be risky to let her pass by and then wait to get her as she passed the second time, as she went back out to her truck. I don't remember which quote by a local you are referencing so that disproves my theory, so I guess that could change my viewpoint...

I assume she was unloading equipment from her truck and placing it by the SW doors under the PC awning. I still think that MB entered through the main doors on the west side. Speculation. Not a fact. MOO

Glammie said:
Yes I can confirm she had a key but only to the main doors. The key only let her in the doors. The rest of the locked doors are unlocked by different keys. Office, etc.

Personal knowledge

Glammie was differentiating between a key to gain entry to the building and a key or keys to enter various rooms within the building. Some members misinterpreted her post to mean that Missy had a key to the main (front) entrance and had to use that entrance because other entrances were keyed differently.

I have always understood MB parked at the closed SW exit door, went to the left around the building to the main door, entered the church, went along the hall to the exit door. There she planned to open the exit door and unload her car but met her murderer.
I have noticed all layouts of the building are showing MB entered through the SW exit door (now the blue arrows) and not one single WS is contradicting.
Why am I so wrong??

I'm with you! In my mind I picture MB entering the building from the Main entrance (W) then turning right to walk towards the double doors where the driveway/awning is. I believe SP was hiding either in the RR hallway or in the alcove/door area that leads to the auditorium in the southside hallway. ALL speculation on my part.

My assumption about MB's point of entry has nothing to do with Glammie's post. I am so confused why you would even think that.

Zoeneli, I will try to find where this was previously discussed at great length. There are a few plausible interpretations of LE's words IMO. I think it is most likely that MB entered through the main doors and turned right toward the SW corner where SP was waiting. MOO

ETA - DeDee mentioned that MB may not have even had a key because there is a card reader by the main doors on the west side.

So she was killed before she had a chance to unlock the PC entrance?

I won't speak for GA_Peach, but that is my thought - killed before she ever opened the outside PC door.

Do you know if there was any break in the rain at all between 3am and 5am? I seem to remember someone posting that there was because they walked their dog in a break in the rain...I may be mis-remembering though...

I took my dogs out at 4:30-ish.. the rain had just stopped here. (I'm 10 minutes from the COC.)

Someone (Nin or ?) posted the weather report Midway Airport a while back, and it is right next to the COC.

Maybe. If you are talking about the exterior doors, I think that is what happened. If you are referring to the doors in the vestibule, it is possible that were already unlocked/propped open when MB arrived.

Has LE stated that the SW doors were unlocked?

Just looking for an alternative reason (as opposed to the kitchen dressing up) to the Swatperp looking dry...thank you for responding!

Then how did the campers who found her body get in?

It's a similar shot, but not identical. Two things are different. The benches and the colored spot lamps. Here are my findings, but the social media image is off limits here so it's "pixelated":

In photo 1, taken in October of 2012, the palm to the right of the door is short, barely reaching the bottom of the window. August of 2014 (photo 2), the palm comes halfway up the bottom pane of the window. In photos 3 and 4, taken in January 2015 and November 2015, the palms nearly reach the top of the bottom pane. So we can see the growth rate is very slow, but consistent. The social media photo in question (blurred) shows the palm nearly the full height of the bottom pane of the window, telling me it was taken pretty recently. Additionally, some time after January but before August 2015, benches were added to the front of the restaurant which also appear in the photo in question but not in the tripadvisor image. I was unable to find when/why the colored spot lights were added. In all other photos of the Half Shell, the spot lamps are white. But photo in question has red and green spots, which makes me wonder if it’s holiday decor or just a new look to the front of the facade.
