The thing about warrants is, it is always safer to have one
LE can ask for something and get it, but in a trial a warrant is safer
And before testing, LE has no idea what they are dealing with therefor, it could be evidence brought to trial

Has any of her (MB) family been interviewed or have they given a written statement to the media? Also, has any of her friends? I haven't seen anything other than BB and family speak. I find that very odd. Not one family friend out there to tell the media that MB & BB had a loving and or good relationship? Are people scared of the Bevers? I haven't seen any statements by anyone on MB side ... did I miss something? If I did, can someone share that info? Please and thanks.

Also agree that confident females are frequently targeted for violence in small town Texas.

IMO, if the police had cleared him - if they thought he was definitely in CA and had no way to get to the crime scene, they wouldn't have bothered with a warrant for the bloody shirt. The fact that they investigated the shirt tells me that he is not off the table yet as a suspect.

I think with the unfortunate circumstances with the dog, coupled with the fact that Missy was murdered, who is related to the FIL, it would make sense to

analyze the shirt. A woman's shirt at that. Maybe there are several POI's and they need to clear that. And it is possible that he was cleared and was in

California during Missy's demise and death. How do they know that he wasn't covering for someone else? Hence making sure that shirt was analyzed.

LE would be remiss if they didn't.

He brought in the shirts to the dry cleaner. He could have chosen not to, but he did.

It's such a sad set of circumstances all the way around.

I know it’s a technicality, but just for the sake of accuracy. The cameras didn’t activate. That doesn’t mean they weren’t working.

Thank you!! Every article I have read (and I looked again after seeing your post this morning) says cameras outside were "not working", "not functioning", or "turned off". Can you provide a link about the outside cameras being functional but just not activating? I missed that!

Wasn't it said that they did try to clean it themselves? Maybe they couldn't clean it sufficiently, so they needed a dry cleaner to do it.

I have thought about this too. Obviously we don't know what interviews LE has done and what has been said by friends and (her) family but the fact that nobody close to Missy herself has spoken (besides 1 friend in a generic interview about how she got physically sick when she heard) speaks volumes to me and really raises red flags. If I had a SIL who I knew SM was beating up on (BB own words from shirt gate presser) I would speak out in his defense if there was no reason to suspect his involvement. IMO Since Dateline is involved they have most likely interviewed her people too, once it all comes out we should get to hear how they feel. I'm curious if the media has reached out for a statement bc I haven't seen a mention of that either.

All true. But I can't help remember the perp in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. We were told he went back to the rental car agency after the bombing to try to get his deposit back for the van that was used in he bombing. Many criminals are, thankfully, stupid.

There is only one house with a high fence around it exactly opposite the church. The closest businesses are about a mile down the road. It’s pretty hard to see whats going on from a mile away, especially at night when it’s raining. Anyway those businesses would be closed at 4AM, so nobody would be there to see what was happening.

Half of a mile, to be precise. And there is quite busy road, yet nobody saw a person in a SWAT gear strolling in the hood.
