Exactly Heather! My #1 scenario for this is younger gal. That "talk to someone" thing really struck me too. Sad regardless, but if a teen, really sad.

I just can't see a teen being this well planned. Going to such great lengths having the $ to buy the gear unless like some one posted a few threads back the possibility of being financed.

I haven't been thinking teen, but I'm open to hearing why others think it's a possibility. What would the teen's motive be, in your theory?

So someone mentioned a thread or so back that maybe the perp didn't break into that one room where they kinda half-arsed messed with the lock because they were more concerned with making sure their target didn't have escape routes more than anything else.

That left me with chills after reading it. It really stuck with me.

Also, this is totally random, but this person actually reminds me of my husband's ex best friend (male), who was unhealthily attached to my husband, if you catch my drift. IDK. I've thought this was a woman from the start though. IDK

Are you saying that the video cameras where installed because of an onsite pre school or because an insurance company required them separate from the daycare being there?

Or are you saying that because there's on onsite daycare the insurance company required the cameras?

I'm saying that I have been on this thread since 8am. And I don't even know what I meant. Lol.

No real news since the last video was posted by the police on the 22nd.

No the news is, the police announced Friday that they were sending the majority of the team home to be with their Family's and relax, but it was also announced that Arlington police department was being brought into the case. Oh and that we still are discussing the Saran Wrap box / object. Many different theories on what this is.

Not necessarily. Do you have elderly parents or grandparents? Do you think they walk like your children do? I doubt it. Even someone 50 or 40 can be distinguished from behind, for example, from a teen. It's not just the walk itself; it's the carriage and the body shape. Teenagers don't tend to have that rounded shouldered look that older men get, for example. And yes, the gait can and does change, as a person ages. It's due to the aging and spreading of the joints, aches and pains and even arthritis that wasn't there 30, 40 years ago, etc.

I would NEVER mistake my father for my son from behind, even if both were wearing a phony SWAT uniform.

Yes my 80 yr old grandma had a distinct walk. But I've also seen some teenagers & young adults walk in a similar way due to the same type of back problems, that I have also developed back when I was 25 & has progressively gotten worse & on some days I look exactly like my grandma from behind, my kids are constantly giving me crap about how I walk like an 80 yr old woman, not a 40 yr old woman.
I get what you're trying to explain, but IMO I don't see how that video can or does show the person's age, hell from LE reports & for most of us, can't even decide if it's a man or a woman or if it could possibly be 2 different people, much less the age of the person just by the way s/he walks. That's all I'm saying.

I am back on the male band wagon, but i reserve my right to change my mind several more times.

Finally made it through for the second.

Just a thought, this isn't a teen, but perhaps there is a specific TEEN who might have knowledge. Like say said teen showed and older person how to obtain certain gear or use the Internet for "help".

I have been on the perp being a male from the jump, but it's just so crazy to think it could very easily be a woman, using some of the possibilities we have seen here.

Also, I have definitely taken a long look at what I share on Facebook since this happened. I think we develop a "false" sense of safety if our pages are "private", but reality is that this could be anyone. Really anyone as close as a family member to camper, to a complete stranger! Scary.

Also, if the perp removed the panic bar exit device from the door, it would mean that the victim would not be able to escape through that door that goes from the kitchen to the outside. Yikes.

So how would the perp escape if camper 1 showed up 15 minutes after missy.

Whoever did this crime knew that Missy would arrive first, early and alone. He/she knew that others would not arrive at the same time as Missy but rather would arrive some time later - 1/2 hour or so. So, he/she knew this Monday morning routine. This to me, is critical to solving the case.

Just how many people would know this information? Not many. In fact, in all likelihood not even the whole camper class would know what time she arrived before class, or how much time she spent setting things up and what time other camper/early birds would start to arrive. Just a few would know. Very few.

Family, very close friends and helpers would know. I have taken many classes and had no idea what time the instructor arrived to set up or what time others began to arrive - only perhaps that they were there when I got there or came in after I arrived. The perp knew there was a window of opportunity to act.

Was there someone who continued to volunteer to help her set up in the mornings? This person would know that there was no need to disarm any alarm system as he/she had been there during set up time before but perhaps was not a welcomed assistant?

While this may be a jealous lover/spouse/whatever situation the perp HAD to know the early morning routine to be able to judge the timing of the murder and get away without fear of having campers stumble upon the crime in progress. The calm strolls through the church tell me that the perp knew precisely what time Missy would arrive and was not hanging out looking through a window to see her arrive. IOW not worried about her coming in too early or being accompanied by other campers.

This person didn't just know that Missy would be teaching a class at 5am but that she would arrive around 4:15am and roughly 20 minutes before anyone else would drive into the parking lot.

BB stated that Missy touched a lot of people's lives in meaningful ways as she helped them realize their physical potential and mental strength. We may have someone who latched onto that kind of attention, had fantasies that this was more than a professional relationship, had found meaning in life through Missy and when the attention was not reciprocated - bam! "You lead me on!" You know the type and yes, it could still be a woman.

That seems to fit with one theory another poster had that the perp was making sure Missy wouldn't be able to lock herself in any of the rooms or escape.

Yes I think she was hunted. What kinda of person does that? Hunts.

Of course not. But statistically speaking, a person with a slow, plodding, shuffling gait is far more likely to be an older person rather than a teen. Just as, statistically speaking, this type of crime is far more likely to have been committed by a male. That doesn't mean it can't be a female. But in cases like this, LE is FAR more likely start their search by taking a look at already-known MALE perps in the area, and fan out from there, b/c of their experience.

its true- but in his defense, this didn't happen in her home. it happened at a place she was regularly alone- where SHE posted on FB that she would be. not because he posted about his trip.

But it tells a perp that hubby is on a trip and I no longer have to worry if he may show up with her since his pain is better and he is well enough to travel far distances.

Oh Dex, this was me yesterday! I spent at least 7 hours and got plain silly by the end! It's about bed time in these parts!

I believe they did have past break ins. Sorry, I don't have a link. I think a poster has mentioned this.

I re watched the first presser today, the police have no reports of breakins from the church.

Perhaps, but I notice they walked past some doors and didn't try to open them. And apparently smashed a lot of glass. I agree with a poster a few pages back, it appears like they were staging the scene as a burglary that was interrupted. That's the most common strategy to try to confuse LE..

Maybe I'm off base but wouldn't that only work if there is no CCTV of the perp doing that stuff?
Did the perp not realize there were cameras, or think they weren't working?

Imrikajo posted this image thread 6, page 90, post #1338. It is a locking mole wrench with red rubber or PVC grips. I took that image into Paint and added yellow pointer lines and numbers I, II, III, IIII, and 0. I - screw tip for opening and locking tightly in place around object II - suspect thumb in black glove III - end with teeth to grip object IIII - the bolt head or object held in the teeth 0 - other end with teeth to grip object Imagine the third image (drawing) fully opened gripping a round object. As shown in brass/gold color, suspect's is silver. HTH.

The item is in the perp's pocket in this screenshot. It looks like this from what I can see.

Agree. LE doesn't have the technical things to cover pings and out of state alibis and everything that Missy phone reveals and everything else.

Local LE are only the foot soldiers on this case. But the technical faction is provided by the feds and whomever else.

So all LE can do is hope that they gave the feds the top 10 suspects and let them do their thing.

Imo. Midlothian police will not be the actual ones to actually solve this case.

It will probably be some computer wiz that works with the fbi that will say " HOLD ON WE HAVE THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE. AND THIS IS HOW WE CAME TO THAT CONCLUSION "
