I agree, I said back on some other post (maybe last thread) that I thought he/she was wearing either knee pads or shorts. In one of the video shots I can see something on the back of the leg but wasn't sure if that was just a reflection of the material and the lighting as he/she walked. No doubt something is "off" in the knee area of those pants. JMO.

I think it's padding in anticipation of a fight. The perp didn't want to get hurt when killing someone. Grrrr....

Texasgirl2 I don't know. We do know that Missy was parked under the awning so not sure if she planned to move her truck after she unloaded her equipment or if she had decided to do the class in the church?!

YES! This is what I saw too! Thanks for posting! I thought maybe I had imagined it. So many different clips and angles. Why does it only show up like this in this footage? Maybe two people dressed similar?

Isnt this after Suspect tried to get that door open by the bulletin board? Suspect tried to use something then it looked like put into some area of his/her clothing. Mayby pocket? and then that the end? Had the hammer also in hand iirc. JMHO

I have always understood class was to be held "under the awning." I do not recall any official source stating it would be held inside. MB must have had some reason to go inside, weather it was for restrooms, other equipment, etc. Or, she was coaxed or forced inside by the perp.

There's a photo discovered by Mimi Jan 11 on Missy's FB shows a class posing inside, in the hallway where perp was trying to force door. Some people in the photo are holding yoga mats - I think warm up and stretching would be done indoors out of the rain, other activities could be outside once warmed up. I think that the class met under the awning, and went in the big glass front doors which she would open from inside.

I don't think a church would allow a fitness workout inside the hall where they have their religous services, seems to me that's a bit too casual. I think they would have done their class in the main lobby and under the covered front entrance.

Satchie, I can't say for sure exactly where the class was held, but I can tell you that this congregation's "auditorium" is a big multipurpose room, about the size of a gym, with moveable stacking chairs and a raised stage at one end. The kitchen is connected to the room, and so they set up tables to eat in the same room where the worship takes place.

If you are not familiar with the Churches of Christ, the auditoriums are not considered "holy" or "sanctified" places, and there are no holy religious artifacts or anything like that. That is why they don't use the term "sanctuary."

All this means is that the workouts might have occurred in the auditorium, or they might have been held in the main hall ("foyer") or under the awning outside. ;-)

That's a great catch. I rarely sleuth from FB but she documented quite a lot of history there.

Was it really to get the public's help? Was it directed at the suspect in some way?

I know what you mean with pocketed pants but they appear to flair inward and while he is walking appear to have the backside strapping. It looks a little shiny compared to the pants material.

Agree AmandaSkis. Normally they release video to see if anyone recognises the person, but that's not easy with this one! Given that guesses here vary in gender, age, height, why or how they're walking, etc - there is no meaningful agreement about the perp's characteristics.
The only thing I can think of other than strategic like you mention, is that they're hoping someone might see the pieced together "SWAT" outfit and recognise it from someone they know who was collecting gear similar for some reason.
