I just remembered where I had seen someone walk with a similar gait. A man who had had his toes on one foot amputated as a child.

Honestly, the gait looks like a person trying to get to the bathroom in a hurry. I'd discount that but I wonder. Sometimes under stress the bowels get loose and even though they appear calm and methodical, that does not mean the body internally is all ' at peace' . Secondly, do we know how tall the doors are in the church? It's easy enough to say perp appears short and I do agree. But doors in commercial buildings are much taller than doors in our own homes. Think about the starbucks, banks, schools that you go into. Those doorways are way taller than the ones inside our house. It could be this person is a lot taller than it appears just gauging from the door height. Any pics from inside the church showing other people standing near the doors ?

I get the feeling that the murderer of MB had been planning killing her for a long time. I don't think it was anything but a planned hit because the person had an opportunity to take what they wanted and get out before she even arrived there. The person thought of everything to keep DNA off MB and the building. They covered up so that no part of them could be analyzed except the walk. Which may be "put on" to keep people looking in a different direction.

So unless they come up with some inside information and/ or get a lucky break it could remain unsolved. But no matter how smart the perp thinks he/she is there is always someone smarter! Hoping one of those Texas Rangers or FBI investigators come up with something to take this monster off the streets!

<modsnip> how about I try it this way:

In the case of Teresa Sievers, her husband went to a wedding out of state where he enlisted the help of his childhood friend to kill his wife while he was out of town a month later (a very small window of time that she would be alone) which made HIS physical alibi solid b/c he was so far away. It was staged to look like a break in, since the family was supposed to be out of town. Obviously the police tracked it back to him b/c the killers were stupid but if planned better, could have been a hard to solve murder case looking like she walked in on a robbery in motion.

The person in the video IMO appears to possibly have a chronic back/hip/knee/leg issue. If someone close to her were to have these same issues and need some sort of rehab or treatment, maybe they met a friend while spending time there. Maybe this progressed to some sort of murderforhire arrangement OR maybe a morethanfriends friendship was formed if the person is a female? Small town and public knowledge of schedules wouldn't be hard to catch her alone if you were following her & waiting for the right moment during a window of time you knew her husband was OOT, making her more vulnerable.

I think that is about as much as I can say without saying anything. These are my ideas for now. JMHOO

At this time I still do not believe Missy was targeted. Whoever this person is seems to be there with burglary tools to rob the church. Many suspects like this DO take their time. I have read news stories where they go in a place or home to burglarize and will sit down and even eat food if they find it available. I saw a video on FB recently and three suspects invaded a home which thankfully had a camera. None of the burglars were nervous. The couple had two large dogs which were either boxers or pit bulls and the video showed the suspects sitting on the sofa affectionately petting the two dogs. People who are doing things like this seem to be bolder than ever before.

If this suspect thought no one would be in the church until much later there was no need for him/her to be nervous while inside. imo They would think they could take their time with no one in the church but them at the time.

I feel the suspect is a male with broad shoulders. He looks slew footed to me and flatfooted. Many do walk with their feet angling out.

As far as LE not telling the community they are in danger that doesn't mean anything to me. Over the years in countless cases the police did not warn the community and some even said they thought the victim themselves were targeted implying it was someone known to them. Yet when the cases were finally solved the communities learned it was done by a complete stranger all along. The police know they don't have to warn the community verbally like they are little children. When something like this happens out of the blue the communities become on heightened alert anyway on their own. Plus rarely does the suspect come back to an area where they just committed one murder to do another murder and the police knows that.

I believe this suspect felt he had all the time he needed to search through the church to find items to take. Imo, he did not know someone would be coming in that early in the morning. I think Missy surprised him and found him inside of the church and that is when all hell broke loose. She probably told him she was going to call the police and he went into a murderous rage, killing her to silence her from being able to rat him out.

I think for some its just easier to think this was an inside job where Missy was targeted specifically. But in the recent years with reading about so many cases of burglars being caught inside a place of business or home it lets me know that bad things can and do happen if the victim comes face to face with the one/s inside. I remember a very sad case in either NC or SC but anyway a mother of four was working night shift at a bakery making the goods for the next day. The suspects forced entry into the back of the store planning to rob it. The video shows them going through things in the back of the store and when they found her inside they brutally murdered her. This has happened numerous times unfortunately. It seems for some of these invaders now they will murder anyone they find inside of the place they go in and never think twice about it. Look at Amanda Blackburn. She was murdered because she happened to be inside of her home the day when the three brutes came in with intentions of robbing her home. It didn't faze the murderer that she was there. It was all about protecting themselves and their identity. So knowing how viscous complete strangers can be I am certainly not ruling that out in this case either. Complete strangers now are doing horrendous overkills to people they never even met.

If this suspect had planned to rob the church then all they would have to do is attend one/two of the church services to know the layout of this church. Sadly, churches are being broken into more than ever before. Thieves are taking all kinds of metal to sell for scrap and they are also looking for money hoping the church secretary hasn't put the money collected on Sunday in the bank yet.

I can see why the suspect took nothing even if that was his intentions to begin with. He would want to get the hell out of there fast after he had murdered Missy.

I still think the fake police garb was a way to gain access to the church where no one would think anything about a 'police officer' 'checking out' a church that was closed for the night if they happened to see him going around the church. And if they were there to rob then of course they still wouldn't want their face shown.

Of course the suspect could also be a woman since women are also doing robberies, burglaries, and other crimes. But if it does turnout to be a woman I don't think that necessarily means she did this because of Missy's husband. I still haven't seen anything that makes me think this is about an extra-marital affair.

Him meeting with the police for six hours is normal. They would certainly want to interview him thoroughly to get background information on Missy's life and who she may have come across that she may have had problems with. They always interview the spouse anyway. That is just SOP in every case like this. If he was willing to talk to them as long as needed it shows he is cooperating with the police. Not all family members know that most likely the victim's vehicle will be seized for testing so him wanting to pick up her vehicle is understandable. Not everyone knows how the judicial system works like we do here.

I just pray that someone does recognize the body movements and gait of this suspect and will call in and give LE the lead they need to solve this heartbreaking case.

I think we've covered all bases on the "gait"

Pregnant waddle
Toes amputated
Prosthetic leg (or pirate)
Boots too big
Swaddled in clothing
Law officer
Dancer
Cardboard on soles
Hip injury
Needs a wee

Anything else to add to Gait-gate...?!

The strange thing is she looked very calm and relaxed and in no hurry.

We can't see the face to judge if they were nervous. I'm nervous about some test results I'm waiting for, but someone might say I look calm while I post this.

One other thing is that we are reading and hearing she had a head wound. She might be in great shape but she was still a petite woman. I am wondering if she was hit from behind? That would have limited her ability to strike back. I would believe the way to solve this thing would be to figure out who her enemies are. Who would be that angry or who had the most to gain with her out of the picture.

After all the theories last night I started looking for any reports of car accidents, ect. with her name involved. I thought that if she was involved in the supposed disability of the perp that could be a motive. I did a quick google check and found nothing.

Has anyone else noticed that posts have been removed from Missy's FB and it has been renamed "Remembering Missy Bevers"?

I do not believe this was intended to be a burglary since this person was in the church for a long time before Missy entered. Casually wandering around as though he was checking out the premises, much as a security guard might. Whatever he/she was carrying (looked like a hammer in some views, JMO) could have been intended to hit the victim in the head. Wearing such gear as LE might wear, it might not have caused her to be alarmed by the individual, giving him an advantage to position himself to attack. If carried in a certain way, she may have thought it was a police baton, not out of place. Whatever size this person is, he caught her off guard and the attack was probably swift, and then he/she departed. How I wish outdoor cameras had been working/on.

gif of first video.

JMO, but in this video, it looks like they have something in each hand. In the right hand a flashlight, The left a hammer.

ETA: you have to enlarge the video to see it.

I agree. And yesterday I posted, if you watch the full video, second 25 is spliced out. When the perp walks towards the door, they reach up to their chest and pull something out. You can't see it because that second was cut out but walking away, you can see the hammer is in their hand when it wasn't before. What caused them to stop and pull out the hammer at that point? Did they hear MB show up? I didn't notice the flashlight until this GIF was posted.

I don't think it was a burglary either. What was there of value to take? The offering had either been put in night deposit or in a safe for deposit Monday morning. The robber would have done better to rob a home. Also the person could not have been id'd by MB because of that get-up they had on.

I wouldn't say this is something solid, but rather a line of investigation to be sure they pursue just to validate or invalidate it. Missy Bevers wasn't the first run CG Mithlothian and there could be bad blood with that. Taylor Parker does fit roughly the same height and could have a motive depending on her circumstances from going from 'owner' to becoming a claims adjuster, which injury could have played a role in that but otherwise she would be physically strong like Missy. It might be nothing and Taylor may have quit voluntarily for other reasons, but I think it should at least be checked just to rule it out that it wasn't bitterness over losing a job they loved and gave them status.

I will relay that info.

It could just be the person's normal gait when wearing heavy clothing, or he/she has a congenital condition called slew-footed (slue foot), which is when the toes point outward. It is the opposite of being pigeon toed.

To me it appears to be white on the back side of the glove on the right hand. jmo

<modsnip> The suspect appears shorter than average; BB appears taller than average. The suspect walks with a waddle or swagger - swings from the hip and plops right foot down flat after kicking it out to the right at the ankle.

I was just meaning how weird/easy it is to find coincidences once you're looking for certain thing. Confirmation bias, I think it's called. I'm sure everyone in that town is watching everyone else walk!!

It does seem like there's something on the shoe/boot that is partly why the gait is strange.

This article now has multiple videos, including both the original and modified versions of the sister-in-law's interview:
http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/201...t-them-to-die-believes-she-was-targeted.html/
The sister-in-law thinks it may have been a jealous woman and she also says she went there in part to see if one of the daughters went with Missy since the daughter 'sometimes' went and she says she was relieved to find that the daughter hadn't gone, so she understood the daughter going in the early mornings to be an ongoing thing.
