Yes. It [the behaviour of that first person to arrive] seems odd to me. Now, that doesn't mean that person is guilty but I do find their behaviour odd.

1. Arriving so soon after the perp committed the murder
2. Apparently just sitting around for 25 minutes. It's probably just me but if I turn up somewhere 25 minutes early (I would never) I generally DO something once I'm there. I'd offer to help Missy set up, for one thing - even if I knew she'd say no for whatever reason, I'd still offer.
3. Calling Brandon. With Missy's phone? Or because you had his number already? Both point to a level of familiarity with Missy and/or her family which makes me question why you'd just sit there for 25 minutes waiting.

I would call 911 immediately (not anyone else) and I wouldn't touch a damn thing. Forensics/crime scene integrity, people!

ETA Of course this is all based on the notion that everything in that timeline is the truth. Maybe it isn't, for whatever reason.

A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County, located at 2374 W. Highway 287 bypass in Waxahachie. The visitation and graveside service will be privet.

May Terri Bevers rest in peace! This never should have happened to such a nice lady. I see they have made the visitation and graveside service private. A shame the family had to make it private.

Is the church a private building though ? I wondered if it was just the hallway lights ,or interior room lights too.

A church is a public building in that it is open to the public. So there needs to be emergency and security lights, at least in the halls.

I think LE said that there was no time stamp on the church video ? When they released the last video I think they said that ?

I didn't read it in the latest article regarding the release of the 3rd video. I wonder where they are getting their times though??

Updated Timeline:

· 3:50 a.m. Monday – Suspect first appears on video surveillance camera at Creekside Church of Christ

· 4:16 a.m. Monday – Terri B...

4:16 is a pretty darn specific time IMO.

Now that you mention it, yes! My instinct (after the trauma) would be to reach out to MY lifeline of support (my spouse) first. Even if it were my Best Friend, I wouldn't call their spouses. I mean, I would possibly think OMG so&so (SO) but I don't think I would phone them. Hmmm

I'd find it very strange if the person who allegedly arrived at 4:35 AM was the caller. If you're such a good family friend - rather than just another paying student - that you have the husband's cell phone number, why wouldn't you help out if you arrived early or at least talk? I'd be pretty embarrassed if I was in some exercise class and was close friends with the instructor, but just sat in my car rather than helped them bring in mats or whatever or at least talked to them rather than just sat in my car like an anti-social lump.

I do agree that it would be easy to hide, but they are loud. I can hear when someone is riding a motorcycle streets away.

I have seen many bikes that are quieter than cars, if they are properly maintained. Unfortunately many are not.

Exactly this. Being so close to the fam that you have your trainer's husband's number in your phone (assuming she used her phone and not Missy's which would be really wrong JMO) does not fit with just waiting around for 25 minutes before class starts without popping in to say hi or offer to help set up.

Just some bullet-point responses because my computer is acting up:

* Apparently Missy always got there about 40min early as the truck took awhile to unload. This was typical for her (and, sounds like, for other trainers who hauled stuff in their trucks to various workout sites).

* Per a carefully worded news conference (early on) we were told that the gal who arrived early (4:35) was also the one who "discovered" Missy. **What we haven't been told is at what time that camper discovered Missy.** We're also told by Captain Spann that she "waited outside until a few more members came" and "they" went in and "found her." So put those true statements together how you will, but that's what has been said. Maybe the first arrival sat in her car for awhile because of the rain (?), or putting on makeup, checking Facebook, etc...who knows. She was early, so could relax a bit. And then when the first arrival saw the others arrive she went ahead and went in, just slightly ahead of the others who were maybe still parking and getting out of their cars. Or, maybe she went in when she first arrived, discovered Missy dead, and went out and sat in her car in shock for 10-15 min. We just don't know.

* We're told in the sister-in-law interview that the first call to BB concerning the "accident" was not from LE, but from "the friend that found her" ("He's getting all this information from the friend that found her" is the direct on-camera quote, when SIL Kristi is explaining the initial mix-up in communication about what happened to Missy.)

* a short while later LE calls BB with news of Missy's passing (presumably from the scene where she was pronounced dead - see timetable)

*Missy''s phone, purse, and iPad were still in her truck, so it sounds like the friend that called BB did so from her own phone. Kristi called her a "friend" so maybe she was a close family friend who had BB's # on her cell phone for whatever reason. ("Couple's friends" who are close friends will sometimes have each other's spouse's numbers on their phone for emergency contact or to track the hubbies down, so this not by necessity suspect.)

Have you read an article or heard verification that Missy's phone was left in her truck? I have only read that her iPad, purse, and some other personals were in the truck. It left me wondering about her phone.

Exactly.
The library where I work has the lights on the stairs inside lit up over night.

So, because LE said there was no timestamp on the church video when they put up the last video of the perp, how did they know any of the times on the timeline so precisely ?

“We have executed several search warrants over the last few days,” Midlothian's Assistant Police Chief Kevin Johnson said, adding the investigators continue to move through an investigative checklist as they examine every possible lead. “We are casting a wide net, everywhere where we think we might get a lead.”

Investigators have a list of names tips have brought to their attention, he said.

The family members are encouraging each other not to look at the comments on Facebook or social media, she added. Some are supportive and sympathetic, but many are not, she explained.

“Some replies will set you on fire, and that is not healthy,” Stout said.

:notgood: It is hard to believe people could be sooo ugly to this family at this highly emotional time.

But it was not open .It was locked. The church on my street is not lit up at night. There are outside lights on,but not the inside lights. I was just curious about the lights in the hallway shown in the video.

People can be at their worst on the Internet. John Gabriel's Greater Internet F***wad Theory covers it well. Anonymity (or the illusion of it, at least) makes people say things they'd never say to someone's face.

I am not an early arriver or a morning person. I can't imagine sitting out in the parking lot alone in the dark for 25 minutes.

Maybe when the people first found Missy they thought maybe she fell or had some sort of accident. Then shortly after this they saw the damage to the church and clues that something more had happened.

I have to say with many years of riding (had no car), you would not be able to ride a mc in that get up.

Well, I would assume that he would have taken off the SWAT gear at some point. That might attract some attention.

But why would you think he couldn’t ride with that on? I have seen some bikers ride with heavy clothing on, and large backpacks on to top it off. I have seen police motorcycle cops ride with tactical gear on. They don’t seem to have a problem with it.

So, because LE said there was no timestamp on the church video when they put up the last video of the perp, how did they know any of the times on the timeline so precisely ?

There may have been some cameras with no digitized time, or LE are purposefully holding back. I suggest this, as I got the time of the perp's appearance from the video early on in the investigation - 3:58:29am. I took it from that --- 4am was a purposeful time - i.e. clockwork savvy.

I wonder if they're reverse-engineering the time based on what the student said

Thanks, that's very interesting.

Link to the search warrant for Missy's truck:

http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/He...rs-Truck-Seized-Search-Warrant-376599651.html

I can only see it lists "receipts, writings, IPAD, personal notes, credit cards, identifying information, bank statements, or other electronic devices." I wondered if she carried one of those little devices that she could swipe people's CC? Can't think of the name of the device...
