Actually this makes sense. Explains the nonchalant behavior better than any other theory, with the exception of some form of mental illness. My opinion.

To me anyway I thought it was better explained by having someone on the outside watching, not that I necessary agree that two more people were involved, just having someone outside seems a better explanation than having two people inside with one serving as a decoy.

I mean I think he (using generically) is wearing a communications device, like a walkie-talkie, and he has headphones in his ears, and it is the type of device that he would need to push a button to talk, kind of like the volume control on iPhone earbuds.

I'm leaning toward the possibility that the perp was not working alone. The seeming nonchalance could be because he has someone tipping him off to MB's approach/arrival.

And, as others have noted, when the Asst Chief sounded sad, I think it's because they definitely have someone in mind and it's sad. Nancy Grace is obliquely/perhaps unintentionally providing clues.

I agree on all points. I believe it was LE or someone in training, but imho I think it was LE or ex LE and that is why no arrest has been made I also believe they may have actually been talking to someone like the accomplice.

Another agency (military) ??? I missed that. I thought it was just FBI ATF,local LE and the Rangers. this could be interesting. Wonder if it's Homeland ? hmmm

Practice military training. I'll even embarrass myself and say I think it could be terrorist, like those sleeper cells you hear about on the news. He likes being on camera because it puts the fear there all the more. It's what they do.

Because, really, why call in the FBI, ATF, and the unmentioned agency, for a random murder. Sorry Missy.
